This review is from: What to Expect the First Year, Second Edition (Paperback)
It's been a long time since I've had children, and with a new grandchild, I had forgotten a lot. Also, times have changed and there are new approaches to taking care of babies. For instance, when my children were babies, we were told to put them on their stomachs in the crib. Now we are cautioned to put babies on their backs. Attitudes towards nursing, feeding, etc. have changed. This book helped orient me to baby-raising in 2008. It is easy to read and well organized. It has chapters that track what you can expect month-to-month, as well as more general information. I've given copies to other new grandmothers.
