This review is from: Wrath of the Titans (DVD)
I saw this film in a theatre in March 2012. I just bought the dvd. I found it to be very entertaining action film. Not sure why it was ripped apart by the critics. I felt the same way about John Carter. Another good film that was bashed by film critics. Leave your brain at the door and enjoy the ride. Defintely for sci-fi fans.

I agree 100% with you Steven. Wrath of the Titans and John Carter are adventurous, fun movies. Star Wars was ripped by critics back in the day as well for poor acting but they missed the point of the saga, its great storytelling, a thrilling soap opera with characters you cared about and spectacular special effects. Im not saying JC or Wrath is Star Wars but all three are Sci Fi and fun movies in their own right. I bough both JC and Wrath, couldnt decide between the two.

I think the main problem, these days, is the over-sophistication of audiences. Certain people want everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, in movies to have a point. It's got to be grounded in reality, the acting and writing has to be 100% non-negotiable perfect and, if it's a movie like "Clash" or "Wrath," the storyline has to be 100% faithful to the greek myths that inspired it. If none of these so-called "rules" are followed, the movie is automatically "the worst movie" they've ever seen and we're all told to "save our money."
This is all pretty much the reason why I see movies for myself and make up my own mind about them.
