Decent but the case is cumbersome and keyboard is cramped,
This review is from: ZAGG ZAGGfolio for Apple iPad 2 - Carbon with Black Keyboard (FOLCARBLK97) (Personal Computers)
I bought this for my iPad 2 some time ago. I don't use it anymore; it's sitting on my bookcase.
So here's the good - while I originally wanted the Apple bluetooth keyboard, as sleek as it is it looked like it would be a pain to carry around. I wanted the original Zagg case, but it didn't protect the back of my iPad, and I didn't want it to get scratched up. This case solved both of those problems. It has a handy way to carry around an external physical keyboard for the iPad, and it protects your entire iPad well from scratches and bumps.
However, there are three reasons I don't carry it around anymore. Number one, the case is super bulky, which sort of defeats the purpose of having a super slim iPad. With my regular rubberized slim case, I can slip the iPad into my purse or a slim tote bag; with this ZAGGfolio, that's less possible. Only if I am carrying a bookbag or other large bag can I easily carry this around. (The case also doesn't stay closed very well, which makes me worry about pens and other bag stuff wedging itself into my case and scratching my screen.)
Two, the case is not at all useful if you don't want to carry the keyboard. You can remove the keyboard, but it's still just as bulky. Most of the time I did not use the keyboard, so it was a pain to carry that huge case. I switched back and forth between my slim case and this, but that was not practical.
Three - the keyboard is actually rather cramped. I have small hands - I'm a woman who wears a size 4.5 ring. Even to me, this keyboard felt cramped, and I owned a netbook whose keyboard felt almost completely natural. There's no way you can do any long-term typing on it, which defeats the purpose as well, since I can type just fine on the iPad's virtual keyboard for at least a little while. I couldn't type much longer on this than on that.
All in all, I wish I had bought the Apple wireless keyboard and just found a nice case for it, then just threw it into my bag whenever I needed it. Would've been less expensive, too.
