4.0 out of 5 stars My favorite pair of Puma's so far, June 30, 2013

This review is from: PUMA Men's Cell Surin Cross-Training Shoe (Shoes)
I've owned my fair share of Puma's in this similar style — probably a total of about 7-8 pairs in various colorways mainly in the Voltaic style. I must say though that this is probably my favorite to date and I think it really has to do with the all-leather construction rather than the mesh style of the Voltaic. The mesh on the Voltaic gets dirty quickly and is difficult to clean. Keeping these clean and sharp looking so far has been easy with a little magic eraser or even just a wet rag. If you're familiar with the Puma Voltaic or Cell styles - the fit/wear is very similar. Obviously there is a lot of personal preference but I think they are a very comfortable casual shoe. Being a part-time runner, I definitely wouldn't consider this a good running shoe however just due to the lack of cushion on the sole and the overall weight of the shoe. If you're looking for a good running shoe, I would look elsewhere. But if you want a comfortable shoe to wear with jeans or shorts, this fits the bill!

I bought these based on this review. They are pretty comfortable shoes. The thing that disappointed me was they are not leather, and there is no leather in this shoe construction, it's all synthetic and rubber. I hope they hold up. At 80.00 a pair I thought surely they are leather, but guess what they're not. Guess I need to start reading the descriptions better. And for the record Tazon 5's are leather and about 28.00 cheaper, go figure.

Steven Paul says:
Tazon 5's are "Synthetic leather upper with perforated detailing."
