What an inspiration!
Robin,
I read your book while on vacation and loved it, loved it, LOVED IT. I can't tell tell you how many times it moved me to tears (some sad tears but mostly happy tears) and laughter. Not only are you blessed to have Alex, he's blessed to have you as his mom. You are so loving and courageous that you are an ideal role model. Thanks for sharing your story...

Very honest and open with her infertility struggles
I was able to read Ms lee's book in 2 hours. I did not read every little detail, I found all the indepth journalling to be more than I wanted to know, but it highlighted her struggles and determination to have a baby. I did not find it helpful per se. IMO it is the kind of book that is best shared with family and friends who know you personally. A great book for her to...

A wonderful tribute to her son, March 3, 2005
This review is from: Some Dreams Come True: A Journey Through Infertility (Paperback)
This is an inspiring story to read, and very easy for me to relate to. Though it's a difficult subject, I know I would have enjoyed reading it while I was struggling with infertility. Her son is so very lucky to have her as a mother, and he'll always know how much he was wanted.

A voice for all of us who suffer from infertility!, March 19, 2005
This review is from: Some Dreams Come True: A Journey Through Infertility (Paperback)
This book was impossible to put down so I read it in one sitting. I knew the outcome as I "know" the author from Carolyn's Boards but I was just totally engaged in her struggle to get her beautiful son. I thank Ms. Lee for publishing her journal - she writes for all of us who have experienced infertility. Reading this book brought back memories of my own struggle and it's all I can do to keep from waking up my son to hug him once again and tell him how much we love him. Her story is totally engaging and you will find yourself crying for her through all her failed attempts and cheering for her when she finally get's the good news. This is an excellent, excellent book.

Touching and Moving - what an inspiration, March 4, 2005
This review is from: Some Dreams Come True: A Journey Through Infertility (Paperback)
This book is a must read for those suffering from infertility and for those who are able to conceive. If you are the former, you will laugh and cry and no doubt completely relate to the rollercoaster ride of uncertainty, hope, persistence, despair - you name it. If you are the latter, you will gain an understanding of what this crazy ride of infertility is like and hopefully some knowledge and empathy for those who cannot conceive without assistance.
This is a wonderful tribute to Robin's son and thank you, Robin for letting us in on some of your most personal thoughts, feelings, hopes and dreams.

A true representation!, July 20, 2005
This review is from: Some Dreams Come True: A Journey Through Infertility (Paperback)
This journal is very open and honest. I couldn't stop reading once I started it! The author does a wonderful job of capturing the rollercoaster ups and downs of trying to conceive a child. There are a lot of emotions, both good and bad, that go along with this process and they are all shared within this journal. Financial and social struggles are also seen along the way. This journal is a very good description of the nightmare that infertility can be.

Amazing honesty, July 19, 2005
This review is from: Some Dreams Come True: A Journey Through Infertility (Paperback)
There aren't many people in this world that would open up their most private wishes, struggles and disappointments for others to experience through publishing. This book is a must read for anyone who has struggled or is struggling with infertility - as well as their friends and family members. I read this book in one sitting. It was so compelling to see how each attempt came out that you can't stop reading. I thank the author for sharing her journey with us. And I heartily congratulate her on having the family and son that she fought so long and hard for.

The story of Ms. Lee's journey through infertility is a 'must read' for anyone embarking on their quest for a child. Those who have not experienced this heartache would benefit from learning what it is like to yearn for a child who is seemingly so out-of-reach. It really makes you count your blessings!
