2.0 out of 5 stars Bloated
This book provided an overview of the importance of blogging for SEO purposes, but offered no real detail in the methods to get it done. The author spent to much time promoting his web site and creating bloat in an already small book. It could have offered much more detail on subjects such as social media sites and keyword research tools.

Your website is only as good as what you put into it, I like to say. I run more than a handful of different types of blogs and sites, and I found "Marketing is a Contact Sport" to provide the best coverage for how to intelligently and pro-actively structure for success.

This book covers it all, on marketing to Internet marketing 2.0, from basics to expert level, this is the book on Internet Marketing, Blogs and SEO, Search Engine Optimization, Search and social Marketing. It is easy to read, but covers all the concepts of Web 2.0. It actually helps you understand how to blog and why blogs are important to search engine marketing. It covers SEO in detail, the Google algorithms intent, it may sound technical, but concepts flow from chapters to chapters.

The book also talks about Marketing and Motivation with real life examples of how marketing is really about motivating our clients and prospects. There are inspiration quotes and storie to help you make friends and influence people. That concept is really the power of social networks and social marketing, and at the center sit blogs. So if you want to promote your business, and don't know how, this is the book. If you are an independant business owner, a consultant, a marketing manager, a sales associate, or anyone who wants to create buzz about your products or services, this is the book for you.
