4.0 out of 5 stars Buying a Lemon?
I've never had a lot of luck when buying used vechiles. So when I decided to purchace a nineteen eighty-eight Dodge Omni for a reasonable 250$,I figured I mind as well buy the Haynes Repair Manual because I knew I was going to need it.

Within two weeks of ripping around in this piece of garbage the brake pads were shot, the driver side door handle broke off,...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I wanted.
These people need to update the title of what their selling. I ordered one of their Haynes manuals for (what the title says) a Dodge Omni and Plymouth Horizon, 1978-1990. 2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I wanted., October 14, 2008
These people need to update the title of what their selling. I ordered one of their Haynes manuals for (what the title says) a Dodge Omni and Plymouth Horizon, 1978-1990. I thought thats what I would be getting. Instead I didn't get the manual I needed and instead got the Dodge Omni. On top of that the sellers said the book was new, but opening the poorly taped together packing, it looked as if it had been used. I liked the Haynes manual just fine the book would be a great help if it was for my Plymouth Horizon, 1988. I hate to return things, but it is going back!

4.0 out of 5 stars Buying a Lemon?, April 20, 2005
I've never had a lot of luck when buying used vechiles. So when I decided to purchace a nineteen eighty-eight Dodge Omni for a reasonable 250$,I figured I mind as well buy the Haynes Repair Manual because I knew I was going to need it.

Within two weeks of ripping around in this piece of garbage the brake pads were shot, the driver side door handle broke off, and for some reason it red lined every time it was idling. I had to ride around in the middle of July with the heat on full blast just so it wouldn't overheat.

The Haynes Manual became my Bible even through most of the time I found myself cursing at it and or throwing it arcoss the room.

It offers step-by-step instructions that are reinforced with black and white photos showing the processes of whatever it is you are working on. The Manual is also extremely durable as tested by this infuriated Omni owner.

I would never advocate the purchace of an Omni to anyone, God I wouldn't even recommend riding in one unless it was completly neccesary, however in the unfortunate event that you find yourself in one of these terrible things it is crucial that a Haynes manual be near by.
