5.0 out of 5 stars Deal with respiratory problems naturally!, February 8, 2005
This review is from: Respiratory Solution (Paperback)
The Respiratory Solution contains considerable information on dealing with respiratory ailments using natural medicines. Written by Dr. Cass Ingram, a physician and author, this book provides lots of advice for staying healthy in a world that is largely polluted.

"There are hundreds of pollutants in city air. The majority of these pollutants arise from vehicular exhaust. Industrial exhaust fouls the air with a host of toxins, including mercury, lead, arsenic, cadmium, beryllium, sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, dioxins, toxic hydrocarbons, and thousands of others. Jet exhaust is an enormous contributor to air pollution. In cities with international airports the air may be so polluted as to be deemed virtually cancerous." (pages 25, 26)

While most people are aware that pollution affects health, they may not be aware of some simple things that can be done to improve health. Dr. Ingram covers subjects such as the importance of deep breathing, sleeping positions and minimizing exposure to chemical pollutants and basement air. Dr. Ingram states that "...relaxed deep breathing is such a powerful technique that it may by itself result in an immediate improvement in health." (pages 16, 17) Dr. Ingram also says that it is dangerous to breathe through the mouth and that stomach sleeping is the most dangerous position in which to sleep.

After providing practical information dealing with breathing, sleeping, pollution, germs, mold, food allergies and the power of spice extracts, Dr. Ingram spends much of the book writing about "Respiratory Illnesses and Their Natural Cures" - everything from actinomycosis to whooping cough and including ailments such as asthma, bronchitis, colds, emphysema, flu, hay fever, pneumonia, sinusitis and smoke inhalation. For each condition Dr. Ingram describes the respiratory ailment, symptoms, causes as well as "treatment protocol."

A short chapter on "Staying Healthy" looks at such topics as exercise, improved posture, breathing, proper ventilation and drug toxicity. In the last chapter, Dr. Ingram describes the importance of natural cures for respiratory illnesses.

"Proper diet, nutritional supplements, herbal medicines, and detoxification programs directly improve respiratory health. Thus, only through natural, non-toxic methods can the respiratory system be healed. If no effort is made, the toxins accumulate, causing damage as well as disease. Vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, herbal extracts, spice extracts, and medicinal foods, like honey and vinegar, are powerful tools for regenerating the lungs and keeping them as healthy as possible. In other words, only natural cures are capable of reversing lung diseases. Plus, natural cures are safe, that is they will not destroy lung or respiratory tissues. Nor will they cause annoying side effects, which plague drug users." (pages 187, 188)

Anyone who wants to protect themselves and their family from respiratory ailments and who want to know ways of treating respiratory problems that may arise will want to read The Respiratory Solution. --N. Glenn Perrett

5.0 out of 5 stars Thankful for Dr. Cass Ingram, February 7, 2006

Having just read the review of July 8, 2005 relating to a press release from 2003, it boosts my trust of Dr. Ingram's very informative books. The American Medical Association would like to see Dr. Ingram and many others like him "go away". We're sort of at the crossroads right now where our liberty to buy natural products (such as Oil of Oregano and Oregacyn, etc.) could be taken away, and we would need a prescription to purchase such items.

Cancer is a multi-billion dollar business in this country. Could that be why the AMA is fighting so hard to get the natural food industry under their thumb? I wish I had known about Oil of Oregano, Oregacyn and Juice of Oregano 8 years ago when my sister learned she had lung cancer. She died 8 months later.

Oil of Oregano has pulled me through sinus problems and colds and a weakness that tends towards respiratory problems. His books with suggested solutions are priceless. Thanks to Dr. Ingram for the sacrifices he has had to make to get this valuable information to us. He is to be honored.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a wonderful book., November 1, 2005

If you suffer from sinus problems, such as myself, this is a great book to read. I have used one of the products, Oregacyn that Dr. Ingram recommends for sinusitis. It has helped greatly reduce the number of sinus infections that I have and has helped clear ones that start. I have allergies to pollen, trees, dust, etc. and this is the only supplement that I have ever taken that clears my sinus problems, so that I do not have to take antibiotics.

I highly recommend this book. Dr. Ingram covers all sorts of other respiratory ailments too.

I love this book!!!!! It is extremely informative and has helped our family's health problems immensely. I love the Oregano products recommended in this book. They WORK!!!! My child's asthma has completely disappeared, and my chronic sinus infections are gone. No more antibiotics every few weeks for me because of sinus infections. I can't tell you how relieved I am as a mother, to no longer have to worry about my child having a full blown asthma attack and needing nebulizer treatments every few hours every time he has a cold. Dr. Ingram is a hero to our family.

This review is from: Respiratory Solution (Paperback)
I have read many books and tried many things, but this is it! A great book and I follow it. It has saved me! I used to get so many respiratory illnesses, and now I do not. It did take a little bit for my immune system to get on board but it did. Thank you Cass Ingram!! I have purchased the whole line of p73 and the juice. It was and is the best money I have spent!! I have told anyone who will listen. My doctor even wrote it down himself and wants to give it a try. That says it all.
