Truly unique, truly FUNNY!!
I'm sure you've heard the Jerky Boys or seen the show "Crank Yankers," but the true difference between those and Gilbert Gnarley is Gilbert's approach. Instead of far-out call ideas and over-the-top callers, Gary Burbank (Gilbert's alter-ego) calls as an old man who is obviously not all there, which evokes a sort of sympathy from the victim of the prank. No matter how hard they try, they just CAN'T hang up on this poor old man who isn't quite sure of what he's doing. The results are HILARIOUS, and especially for the price, WELL worth listening to!

5-stars to Gilbert, but..., July 10, 2008
This review is from: From the Retirement Home (Audio CD)
I love Gary Burbanks's Gilbert G-N-A-R-L-E-Y, but I ordered it and never got it. It was a classic bait and switch. I ordered Gilbert Gnarley and waited for several back orders to clear. I never got the item. Finally several months later it showed as shipped. It arrived but was some tasteless triple X rated crap - NOT MY BELOVED GILBERT GNARLEY! I don't remember what it was because I crushed the CD and tossed it out. I did save the jewel case, because it was infinitely more valuable.
I figured that I learned a lesson. I just noticed that the CD is offered as available from Amazon.com. I ordered it again, but if I don't get it this time, the crap is going to hit the ventilator.
I will report back.

This review is from: From the Retirement Home (Audio CD)
My mom bought a tape of this guy at a truck stop. The bad thing was that me and my brother were too young to get the jokes we were 10 and 12 and my mother was realy embarised by the bit on "KY Jelly".
Now I am older and I feel that I will get the jokes
