A Great Album for people new to Ozzy
I first imagined that Ozzy was just another really strange death metal artist with no skill or talent. One of my friends played me the tape of "The Ozzman Cometh" one day and boy was I wrong! While the first two songs did put me off, i was absolutely surprised with the amount of greatness Ozzy has. I eventually borrowed the tape from him and haven't given it...

No Need For A "Best Of " cd
The reason that I rated this cd 2 stars is that you can hear all of the songs basically on his solo cd's. The only plus part on this cd is "Black Sabbath" (Alternative Lyrics), "War Pigs" (Alternative Lyrics) and "Back On Earth (not included on Ozzmosis). This cd is ok only for Ozzy newcomers but not for the die hard fan like me. Buy this cd...

Great .... but sadly not a 5-star, November 8, 2002
By A Customer
I was pondering on whether to give this CD a 4 or a 5 star rating but finally I decided on a 4. Mainly for two reasons. Ozzy has too many unforgettable hits to squeeze into one CD. He should have either done a double CD or else made a 1980-1990 and a 1990-2000 greatest hits album like U2 or whatever. Secondly for putting useless tracks such as the Black Sabbath basement tapes and also for putting live tracks were he could have put the original recording. Otherwise this CD is a rollercoaster ride from track 3 onwards, even though I wouldn't have started the Ozzy hits with a ballad. Maybe the two weak points in his hits, but nonetheless good tracks, are Crazy Babies and Over The Mountain. Could have easily been substituted by tracks such as Flying High Again and Miracle Man. But the classics like Mr. Crowley, Mama I'm Coming Home, No More Tears, Crazy Train and Shot In The Dark are there.

A Great Album for people new to Ozzy, July 6, 2001
I first imagined that Ozzy was just another really strange death metal artist with no skill or talent. One of my friends played me the tape of "The Ozzman Cometh" one day and boy was I wrong! While the first two songs did put me off, i was absolutely surprised with the amount of greatness Ozzy has. I eventually borrowed the tape from him and haven't given it back since. I later purchased the CD. Although it doesn't appeal much to a long-time Ozzy fan, this stuff is great for anyone who's new to the world of Ozzy Osbourne such as myself. Only thing disappointing about this album are perhaps the first two songs that are probably only good to listen to if you got a decent set of stereos with the volume cranked up loud. After that, the real music kicks in with a soft tune, "Goodbye to Romance", followed by one of my personal favorites, "Crazy Train". All of the songs have really awesome riffs. Inside the booklet, Ozzy mentions why he picked these songs for this album. One sad thing is that "No More Tears" has been condensed to last only 5 minutes. Why not just keep it to the original 7 minutes?!?!? The only thing i'm a bit disappointed about is the second cd that comes with this. The two extra songs were just as bad as the first two on the first cd. And the interview wasn't really that great since all Ozzy did in it was yell and cuss everytime. Ozzy could have at least added some more hit singles into that second CD. So, without those old demo songs, i'd say this is a pretty strong album. I recommend it for new fans to Ozzy Osbourne.

Good compilation from Ozzy Osbourne, May 15, 2000
Ozzy Osbourne, even at his age, is still one of the most controversial rock acts ever. "Ozzman Cometh" has takes a greatest hits approach to Osbourne but with the songs it misses comes excess. I found the two basement tape tracks from Black Sabbath rather unnecessary due to the fact that the sound quality is unlistenable and the songs aren't even performed that well. The album really gets started at track 3 and from then on, it is classic Ozzy. It is really great to have songs like "Crazy Train", "Shot in the Dark", and "I Just Want You" on the same disc. But sadly I fell where the first two tracks are, there should be more songs like "Suicide Solution" and "Flying High Again". But all in all this album is very good. I really liked the new track "Back on Earth" as well. If your a casual Ozzy fan, this CD should suffice along with "Tribute".

The Ozzman Has Arrived, December 12, 1999
Although this is Ozzy's Greatest Hits, it's far from over for the Ozzman. This is merely an excellent marketing plan to bring his music to a point of origin to draw new listeners, and make everyone familiar with his music for when his new album comes out early next year. It's filled with great songs from his early days with Black Sabbath, his days with Randy Rhoads, and his more recent times with Zakk Wylde. This is great for the new fan, or even the diehard fan who just wants a nice collection for the road.

quality Ozzy, October 22, 2006
I originally wanted this CD because I was a HUGE Black Sabbath fan 6 years ago and the demo versions of the songs "Black Sabbath" and "War Pigs" really interested me. In fact, today I STILL dig the 4-track equipment used to create those songs. They sound muddy, but wonderful and spooky. Great trick or treat music! Just so you know, the quality of those two songs aren't anywhere near the quality of the versions released on their debut and Paranoid albums. If you enjoy Black Sabbath to an extreme level, you'll find yourself very interested in them, though. In a way, the demo version of "Black Sabbath" is better than the normal version we've heard a thousand times.
However, as the years went by I began to love Ozzy's solo career just as much. Many of his big hits are included here, but that doesn't really matter because Ozzy had a pretty spectacular solo career and just about ANY of his songs are good hard rock/heavy metal music, whether they were big hits or not. Ok, except for the ballads. But hey, I've always liked Ozzy ballads. The one here is really good, too.
With this disc you get a nice collection of songs. I think you'll find many of these songs continue to be enjoyable for many years.

Left Out Some Good Songs, Included Some Bad songs, but......, November 7, 2002
You can't leave out "Flying High Again", "Perry Mason" or "Miracle Man"... that made me mad... and by including "I Just Want You", it kind of took away some of the glitter.... but it is an enhanced CD loaded with extras (at least the one I have is... I have the two CD version.. It has 5 music videos.. "Perry Mason", "I Just Want you", "Crazy Train", "Crazy Babies" and "Paranoid" it also has a "Smash Ozzy's Bones" game, kinda like a "Whack a mole" game... Very addicting! ) so it kind of takes your mind off the track selections.... Well anyways, they did include "Mr.Crowley" and "Crazy Train" which are both classics and we should be grateful.... Peace

Awesome...but..., October 7, 1999
By A Customer
"Ozzman Cometh" is great, but there's just a few things: where's "Close My Eyes Forever" with metal goddess Lita Ford? Or how about "Iron Man?" I think I can forgive these fatal flaws however and still give it four stars, because "Bark at the Moon" is on here, and so many other awesome tracks. I'm just sorry I missed OzzFest this year!

OZZMAN COMETH TO CONQUER!!!, September 13, 1999
There is only ONE flaw in this great collection of Ozzy's greatest hits..."Iron Man" ain't here. But lets face it...it was a Black Sabbath song, and maybe he couldn't get that on here. Either way, everything else is here. Classics like "Bark at the Moon," "Crazy Train," "Crazy Babies," "Black Sabbath," "Paranoid (a great live version with the forgotten God Randy Rhoads)," "War Pigs," "Mama I'm Coming Home," and "Goodbye to Romance." They are all here. The new one "Back on Earth" is an instant masterpiece. One of Ozzy's greatest songs ever. No wonder he is the god of Kingdom Come. This is the best collection of Ozzy I've ever heard! OZZMAN HATH COMETH!!!
