Get this toy if your child does not have it.
This classic toy is one of the best on the market. My 15 month-old and 3 year-old both love it and CONSTANTLY play with it. It is great for teaching body parts. No child should be without this wonderful toy. Watch out for small parts, though, with the little ones.

The case is 100% GARBAGE. If the case didn't fall apart, this would be 5 stars.
We've had this set at our house for about 2 years. It's nearly everything a child could want for Mr. Potato head. Plenty of variety. All good stuff. All except for the case.

I have to agree with the other reviewers that this toy is a toddler pleaser. My daughter got the Mr and Mrs Potato head version of this at age 18 months and she just loves it. (the Mr and Mrs version has one head but "lady" parts like earrings, fancy shoes, bow lips...) She learned the names of all of the parts, including shoes, glasses etc, and quickly is learning the correct place for each part. She carries around the head like a doll and loves to put the pieces into the case and dump them out and so on for what seems like forever. The suitcase comes apart sometimes, but is easy to click back together, is very durable, and a great way to keep the pieces all together. I highly recommend this classic, which (unlike many revamped classic toys) has stayed true to its original concept with the improvement of a storage feature and durable parts. Did the original have a compartment inside the head to store pieces? I can't remember, but this one does, so if we feel like just taking along the head with a few parts we can leave the suitcase at home and still keep the pieces all together. We've had this toy for several months and haven't lost a piece yet, even though it's visited every house in the neighborhood.

My mother had bought this Mr Potato head for my son in hopes to learn the body parts (head, arms, legs etc)...not only did he learn to say the body parts but he doesnt put the toy down. He loves it! The suitcase that comes with it is an excelent idea for parents. Us parents know how frustrating it is when our children get new toys that come with tons of small parts that can easily be lost. The suitcase helps keep all the parts together...I even get my son to put the parts in the suitcase himself (good way to teach him to clean up). Our dog although got a hold of some of the parts and chewed them up...Our son was so upset, we had to go out the very next day and buy a new Mr Potato head...this is certainly not a toy that collects dust in our house!!

Mr. Potatoe Head is a toy that has endured and is the pinacle of value to parents and children. It should always be included in the toy box. My children had one sixteen years ago and my God son of two now has one. Good educational toys endure, Mr. P. is fun, allows creativity, & imagination as well as teaches chlidren the parts of the face & body. Mr. P. also teaches hand/eye coordination and is safe and durable for children 2-85, don't recommend for infants (pieces are too small), I've even seen John Lithgow on 3rd Rock From Sun play with his on his desk! Great toy for all ages, all times, and all toy boxes!

I had bought my son the regular Mr. Potato Head that comes in a box. He loved it. One of his favorite toys. When I saw the suitcase in the store I had to buy it. The case alone is great. Now we can keep all the pieces, from both Potato Heads, it the durable plastic container. My son knows most of his body parts partly from playing with Mr. Potato Head. He has had hours, and hours, and hours of fun with this toy.

An excellent toy; it promotes motor and gross skills as well as creative thinking; the children are not only proud of their creation but you could determine thier understanding quite a bit. it holds their interest because it provides versatility. Excellent choice.

My two year old has Mr. Potato Head Suitcase and he loves it. As a former teacher, I recommend this toy highly. It can help your child learn color names and names of body parts. Also, it helps in the ability to reason spatially and to refine fine motor skills. We play with it a lot. The only problem is losing the pieces!

My son received the Mr. Potato Head as a gift and loves it. I think it is a great gift for 2 year olds because they know body parts and it starts them using their imagination and hand eye coordination. It is my favority gift for 2 year olds.

Mr. Potato Head and his Silly Suitcase have added tons of fun to our office! Of all the Mr. Potato Heads available, this one comes with the most parts and therefore offers more interchangable fun. A definite boost to productivity!

You can't go wrong with Mr Potato Head. You and your children will have hours of fun making up silly faces no matter what their age.My daughter received this for her second birthday and was playing with it straight away - the pieces are easy to insert into Mr Potato Head and any piece can go in anywhere making for some interesting "Mr Potato Heads". The suitcase is a fabulous idea - so many pieces to make so many different combinations of faces and they all fit into the suitcase for storage and for taking on car trips or visits to grandparents. Fantastic toy!
