3.0 out of 5 stars Take a peek at this game!
The only reason why I gave Viper Racing a three instead of a four is the fact that you can only drive Vipers (hence the name).

Other than that this is a great game. The tracks look stunning, the cars drive exceptionally well. And, it's a lot of fun.

If you like the Dodge Viper, this is a must have. Even if you don't, take a look at Viper Racing. I don't think...

5.0 out of 5 stars The most realistic to date, April 7, 2000
By A Customer
As soon as you begin to accelerate you realise that this a not your average driving game. Mash the throttle and watch your machine fish tail like a wild donkey. Or go around a turn just to have a slight imperfection in the road cause the Viper to take a reverse view. The physics engine is amazingly real. Damage is really damage and the idea that you can drive anywhere is a dream. It drives me crazy on other driving games to bounce off an invisible wall. Viper racing allows you to take those wonderful short cuts or go into a spin which forces you into a field or embankment and offers the thrill of pulling out of it while bouncing over the uneven ground...WOW! I had the recent pleasure of showing this game to a bunch of my buds who were blabbing about the latest driving game they just tried. As soon as they played Viper their jaws dropped, added they drive horribly. The physics overpowered them.

Now if they could only add a few more items in the open fields and some other car models.

If you like to drive, really drive, go and get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Racing Game since the original Need for Speed., March 11, 2000
By Bruno Walter (Vancouver, Canada) - See all my reviews
If you're sick and tired of the unrealistic arcade physics found in many of today's big name racing "simulations", this one is for you. The graphics aren't quite as nice as many newer games, but the gameplay is unparalleled.

Don't take my word for it, try the demo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Real racing simulation, January 25, 2000
By Jim W (Los Angeles) - See all my reviews
Although every driver has a different level of skill and view of what makes a perfect simulation, for me Viper Racing is the best I have used. Having "raced" on almost every Test Drive, Need for Speed and road course simulation game that has ever come out, this is has the realistic look and feel of the Viper and excellent physics as you drift through the corners. It isn't easy to master, especially because the competition is tough, but in the long run this substitutes well if you can't drive the real thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent graphics and exciting to play for hours, April 17, 2001
By Kevin Leitch (Anaheim, California) - See all my reviews
Viper racing is one of the best racing games you can buy. It is filled with plenty of action and hours of enjoyment. The tracks and the car'(s) Exotic (best) Viper, Sports, Sedan, and Plane(useless) are among the choices to drive. I found the Exotic car to be the best as well as the fastest to drive. Playing this games is like driving the real thing the only thing thay is not present is the G forces, but still if you drive off the cliff you get the feeling of weightlessness, kind of queezzy feeling. I definetly recommend this game for any race car gamer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Takes time to learn but is fun., December 11, 2000
By "scooter-dude" (Tracy, California USA) - See all my reviews
At first the cars are difficult to control but there are game settings that make learning to drive these cars easier. I particularly like the "carreer" mode. You start out in the novice class with a basic stock, underpowered (relatively speaking), ill handling stock Dodge Viper. As you progress & improve your driving skills, you learn that when you finish well enough in each race, you earn cash prizes which you can use to upgrade the performance of your Viper. Eventually as your skills improve, you will win a season of racing which will bump you up to a more advanced class of competition. Also, as you race against the same drivers in each season, you begin to realize that your opponents have differeent pesonalities. They range from extra cautious to wildly reckless. Because this game has been on the market for a while, the price has gone down considerably. So now the price is much lower which makes this racing simulation game an extra good value. I've had this game for over a year now & I still find it challenging & fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why I gave viper racing five stars!, September 15, 2001
By Romeo Faison (DUDLEY, NC United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Viper Racing is the most realistic driving sim-on the market. The cars handle the way a car suppose to. The graphics are very good, like nascar 4. Just remember you have a garage, so you can set your car up for each track. I personnaly do not understand why siera sports haven't come out with a Viper Racing 2,trust me I would buy it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great 4-star game, June 6, 2002
A Kid's Review
The reason I rated Viper racing 4 stars instead of 5 is because (You'll see if you're the plane) you can drive of the edge of the
earth. Realistic huh? NOT! I also found out that you can do flips. Other than that, Viper racing is a pretty good game. The graphics and sound are REALLY GOOD. Track detail is average.
This is a good game for intermiediate and advanced users.

P.S. In the garage, if you turn (in chassis) Bump to 0-0, rebound to 0-0, springs to 100-100, Anti-lock braking to 47-47 and (in align) height to 20.0-20.0... FEEL THE EFFECT!

5.0 out of 5 stars JUST BUY IT!!, December 15, 2001
By Christopher Michelsen "Zucar" (Fairfield, iowa United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is by far the best, most realistic, and most fun racing game. ...with the exception of Nascar 4, another great game but in this one the tracks are more varied and fun. The Need for Speed series is so bad compared to this game, in NFS you are stuck on this tobogan run with no ability to go outside the confining narrow road. In Viper you can not only have fun off road but if you want you can drive backwards and view replays of some incredable and very realistic crashes. There are no better driving physics. Get a wheel if you can afford it. Act Labs with force feedback is a primium choice. This game will really come to life and you will be on the edge of your seat for hours as you refine your knowledge of how to handle each turn and situation. I love using shifting paddles on each side of the wheel to manually shift the way formula cars do. You can hit the right gear for each turn and gain precice control. Could go on and on but getting too psyched and want to race... anyway, BUY IT!! (...)
