Koss Portapro vs Sennhauser PX100
I couldn't decide between the Sennhauser PX100 and the Koss Portapro headphones. I bought both, so I could take them home and compare at my leisure. Result: They are both excellent choices! You will be pleased with either. But to distinguish between them:
The PX100 are more comfortable because of the foam cushions which rest on the top of your head. The...

Sounds good for the price, but it feels cheap
I have an entire collection of portables...the PX100, iGrados, KSC-75s, iCans, and a few other open portables not worth mentioning. The sound is very similar to the KSC-75s (the should sound similar, they use the same drivers) with the bass just slightly boomier. Detail is very good and these work particularly well with rock music. However, they're not quite as detailed...
Ordered mine weeks ago and its yet to be delivered. The delivery date kept being pushed back.
My old portapro lasted 3 years before the sound started to become murky, a great pair of cans that is onpar with the grado80's($70). The sound will start to sound crisp after burning them in for about 100hrs.

I was alittle bit undecided on what kind type brand of head phones to buy but these HeadPhones were a excellent buy for me, as another customer wrote I really do "hear things in my music that I didn't hear before" all for a good price.

I purchased these headphones a month or so ago. I had been using some Phillips sport headphones I purchased 10 years ago, and the foam stuff came off, and I wanted to upgrade. Oh my, what an upgrade it was! The firs time I put these headphones on, I could immediately tell the difference between these and my old ones. The only thing I don't like, is the fact that the bag they come with is not big enough to get the headphones in easily. If you are looking to buy a set of headphones that are guaranteed to last you a life time, these are the ticket.

Lately I've taken some caution when buying products on amazon.com based solely upon reviews online. A recent example was the Bass Freq earbud, which in my opinion, sound just alright, nothing like the rave reviews posted. But, I guess it's all relevant to the user's personal taste.
These phones however have blown me away, especially for the price. The reviews online actually are rather appropriate. The sound is crisp, but there's enough warmth to give the music some life. It's a nice change from my regular pair of phones that I've been using lately, the etymotic hf5's which have a more monitor feel to them. Great for classical, etc. but not so much for rock/hip hop and the like.
Go into a Best Buy and the you won't get anything of this quality in this price range, except for maybe the sony mdr-v150s, but that's a different story all together.
Buy these, you won't be disappointed.

Tout simplement, ce casque reste une valeur sûre pour ceux qui aiment le bon son portable. A cette taille, cet encombrement, impossible de trouver meilleur son !

I have been using these for about an year now, and they are the best ones under $40 that I've owned. Here are some plus points:
1. very sturdy metal band resulting in a snug fit
2. compact enough to be carried around, without loss in the bass! :)
Just be careful not to open the headphones holding the plastic parts - they may break. The best way is to hold the metal band and pull them apart. A very good buy, and highly recommended.

Love these, incredible sound and even like the 80's look; unfortunately I currently am sending these in to be repaired, but with a LIFETIME WARRANTY there has been no hassle and I had only to pay the shipping and handle charges of about $6 I believe, this is an awesome add bonus but I gladly buy these again even without that benefit.
PRO's:
Sound is near impeccable!
Great price!
Comfortable fit,
Hard to match!
The only CON i could imagine would be the sound leakage due to the open style, on ear fit.

I won't say anything more than the positive reviews here. I have had a pair of PortaPros since 1998. I use them everyday to go to work on the trains. I literally wear them out in about a year and a half of heavy daily commuting use. The great thing is if you catch the cable on something or drop the ear pieces and they start buzzing or break something, they come with a lifetime warranty and you can send them in to Koss and they will send you a replacement all for $6. I have done this about 5 times in 9 years. Try that with Sennheiser!!

After hearing the crisp, full sound of my cousin's Koss PortaPro Headphones, I had to buy a pair of my own, especially after the fact that my awesome old Skullcandy headphones failed after 2 1/2 years of service.
Awesome, they arrived 4 days earlier than originally projected, so I open the box to find a shiny new pair of Koss PortaPros. I had about 5 minutes to sample the awesomeness before I had to go to work, so I fold them up (neat design, by the way)and fit them into the tight (as in physical, not fashionable) carrying pouch and set them on my dresser.
The next day, I have more time to actually use these guys, so I pull them out of the pouch. This is where I need to warn buyers before getting these headphones.
THE POUCH IS TOO TIGHT, WHEN YOU PULL THE HEADPHONES OUT, NO MATTER HOW CAREFUL YOU DO IT, ONE OR BOTH OF THE EARPIECES WILL SNAP WHERE IT SWIVELS.
