Great quality
After tons of agonizing, I bought a Weber Gold C grill and like most others decided I didn't want to get a cheap, flimsy cover for it, so I swallowed hard and ordered this one. It was about the same cost at Home Depot, but with free shipping and no tax, I got it here. This is the cover for the 2002 model of the Gold Genesis B and C grills, as well as the silver C. My...

Great Material, Great Fit... Questioning the "Vents"
This grill cover fits my Genesis Gold B grill (2005) wonderfully. The heavy plastic material is durable. The vents are my concern. Not only does rain go through both vents, the water then drips down along the front and rear of the grill, pooling in the storage cabinet area below (which is made of coated steel on the Gold B, and will eventually corrode). Be aware of...

Great quality, April 29, 2003
This review is from: Weber 9859 Premium Gas Grill Cover (Lawn & Patio)
After tons of agonizing, I bought a Weber Gold C grill and like most others decided I didn't want to get a cheap, flimsy cover for it, so I swallowed hard and ordered this one. It was about the same cost at Home Depot, but with free shipping and no tax, I got it here. This is the cover for the 2002 model of the Gold Genesis B and C grills, as well as the silver C. My neighbor has a Weber and when I asked him his opinion of his grill, he said he was happy with it, but wished that he had spent the extra money on a real cover, instead of buying a cheaper one that fit it. This one isn't hard to put on at all, I read somewhere that it fit like a glove and I thought, oh no, it will be hard getting it on and off. It isn't. It slides right over the grill and velcro straps on the bottom edge allow you to tighten it, even though there was no chance it would have blown off without tightening it. I also was afraid it would be like a raincoat, sticking to itselt so that you constantly had to peel it off itself to get over the grill. Not at all, it is not that sticky plasticy material, instead it is a nice weighted material and lined on the inside so it never sticks to itself. Good job Weber.

Worth Every Penny, February 17, 2004
This review is from: Weber 9859 Premium Gas Grill Cover (Lawn & Patio)
I know some of you may be thinking, what, $55 for a grill cover? I can buy ten grill covers down at the Home Supply Store for that price!I'm watching 55mph gusts blow around my back deck right now and the grill cover stays perfectly put. This storm has blown my plants over and blown away the cheap-o tarp I've tied around my external air conditioner housing. The wind has even moved my weber grill a few inches on my patio, but the cover stays in place! It fits great, looks sharp, and comes off and on quickly courtesy of the velcro straps at the bottom. It even has a few "vents" sewn into it to prevent too much moisture - and mold - from building up inside of it.

Expensive Sheath, June 27, 2000
This review is from: Weber 9859 Premium Gas Grill Cover (Lawn & Patio)
There's nothing more frustrating than seeing your high-priced grill naked in a storm as your cheap cover is hanging from the highest limbs of your neighbor's tree.Priced at (gulp) $60, this grill cover is essential if you're going to lay down the cash for a Weber. It's very heavy. It's strong. And, it's worth every penny.

GREAT FIT - STAYS PUT !, April 13, 2004
This review is from: Weber 9859 Premium Gas Grill Cover (Lawn & Patio)
I bought this for our new grill in August and have been very happy with it. I debated about purchasing it because of the cost but am very happy that I did. Let's face it after spending over $500.00 for a grill it's best to protect it and this definately serves its purpose. We have had some serious wind/rain and snow storms and the cover has stayed on through each and every one. I like that it vents to prevent moisture build up too - we have not had any problem with that at all. The adjustable straps are great for adjusting just how tight you want to make it but also allow easy removal for use and replacement afterwards. If you want a high quality product this is it !

Naked Grills, June 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Weber 9859 Premium Gas Grill Cover (Lawn & Patio)
There's nothing like a heavy grill cloth. Believe me, I've owned plenty of lightweights. When you spend more than $400 on a grill, it's tempting to subscribe to the philosophy that any tarp will do.You see, there's nothing more frustrating, or embarrassing, than seeing your prized grill, naked to the elements, and your discount grill cover hanging from your neighbors tree. That's the irony. Cheap cloths betray you when you need them most. When the winds are high, and the rain won't stop. This one is different. At 60 clams, it's a high-priced blankie, but it stays on. And, it's tough, so it won't puncture. Don't let your grill go naked. It's indecent.

Expensive - but worth it!, January 2, 2005
This review is from: Weber 9859 Premium Gas Grill Cover (Lawn & Patio)
This is the only grill cover I've ever had that didn't either crack during the winter or blow away on me. It's nice and heavy, covers the entire (weber gold) grill and has two velcro straps that snug it down real tight. Folds up nice too so you can fit it under the grill while you're cooking. We've had it for two years now and it's still going strong.

Great but be careful..., March 9, 2004
This review is from: Weber 9859 Premium Gas Grill Cover (Lawn & Patio)
Reviewer: An outdoor living enthusiast from Leesburg, VA United States This item has worked perfectly over the last year. It fits perfectly, stays secured in bad weather and holds up well against the rain/snow. The only problem I've had is a combination of wind and a sharp corner of the cover to the side burner. Our house gets a lot of wind (enough to move the grill with the wheels locked) and while the cover has stayed secured the sharp corner eventually wore through the cover. I put a couple layers of duct tape on the inside where the sharp corners are and I suggest you do the same. All in all I've been happy, just wished I would have noticed the burner cover issue sooner. Since this is likely a problem with any cover I would definitely buy it again.

A premium grill deserves a Premium Cover, June 27, 2002
This review is from: Weber 9859 Premium Gas Grill Cover (Lawn & Patio)
When I purchased my Weber grill I literally would not put it together until my cover arrived. This is a well crafted cover and I would highly reccomend getting the premium cover, which is full length, you will appreciate the added protection. The cover offers two nice features, side venting and velcro straps. The side venting which in on the front and back allows wind to pass through so the cover does not blow aways (ever go out in the morning after a windy night and your cover is gone?) and the velcro straps also aid in creating a tight fit. What I tell anyone I know that just purchased a Weber grill is "You just payed $$$ for your grill, spend alittle more for the cover."

Worth it, April 6, 2006
This review is from: Weber 9859 Premium Gas Grill Cover (Lawn & Patio)
I bought this grill for my Weber Genesis Platinum C grill. The grill cover description fails to mention that the cover also fits the Platinum B/C models. The fit is snug and the velcro straps will ensure that the cover will not blow off. The material is heavy duty unlike other less expensive generic grill covers. Yes, $55 is pricy, but I wanted something to protect a bigger investment which I plan to keep for many years.

Excellent quality and performance, April 17, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Weber 9859 Premium Gas Grill Cover (Lawn & Patio)
Having just purchased a Weber Genesis Silver C grill, I wanted something to protect my (expensive!) investment. Like some other reviewers, I was somewhat skeptical about the $[...] price tag for a simple cover. But after just a few days of use, I can tell you that it's totally worth it. It fits _perfectly_. It's heavy duty enough that I no longer worry about my new toy sitting outside "naked". Plus, it stays put in heavy winds, even without the integrated velcro straps. All in all, I'm happy I purchased it, even at the high price, and would do it again. I'm sure my Weber will be lasting that much longer because of it.
