Fantastic. No Problems. Wide Range. Well worth the money.
We got this as a gift at our baby shower two years ago. I am very glad we did. This is almost a MUST have for babies. The range is fantastic. I can be outside watching my two year old while my baby sleeps. I know that I will be able to hear her. Not only is the range great but it also picks up the smallest sounds, I hear my baby rolling over in her crib when this is...

It broke for no reason after a month
We loved this monitor for the first month we used it. Then, for no apparent reason, it stopped working. Getting through to the customer service phone number was incredibly difficult and they never responded to my customer service inquiry on their Web-site. I'm still trying to get them to honor their warranty - I've been trying for over two months now. It does go...

Fantastic. No Problems. Wide Range. Well worth the money., November 10, 2001

We got this as a gift at our baby shower two years ago. I am very glad we did. This is almost a MUST have for babies. The range is fantastic. I can be outside watching my two year old while my baby sleeps. I know that I will be able to hear her. Not only is the range great but it also picks up the smallest sounds, I hear my baby rolling over in her crib when this is on. As an added bonus, I have not found this to be a battery eater. In my opinion having a moniter is not the most important thing to have if you are having a baby. However, it is one of the more useful things if you want to have some measure of freedom while the baby is napping or if your child sleeps clear across the house from where you sleep.

Very clear, and much cheaper than the inferior expensive one, July 26, 2005
This review is from: Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor, White (Baby Product)
I received a much more expensive model of baby monitor for a shower gift. I read the reviews online and saw lots of people complaining about static but at first mine wasn't static-y. For some reason, though, after about two weeks, the first monitor became very very static-y. I could barely hear my twin babies cry, let alone any of their softer noises. So I ordered this cheaper monitor after reading a number of reviews that said it was clear. I am impressed, not only with how clear it is, but with the sound quality overall and the much less expensive price. Not only that, but the old static burdened monitor did not have an indicator light to warn me when the battery was going low-- and in the middle of the night, my old monitor's battery died, shutting off the monitor. The "crysal clear" one has an indicator, so it warns when you're getting close.
Buy this one. Sometimes, more expensive isn't better.

Don't let the price fool you, July 3, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor, White (Baby Product)
This monitor is great. It picks up all sounds in the room no matter where the monitor is. We bought some others later because they either were supposed to work at longer range, or scramble signal for privacy. They were more than twice as expensive and not even half as good. We returned them both. Try this monitor, you'll like it and the price. In fact, I just had baby #2 so we bought another one for the convenience.

Great for the price, September 16, 2001
This review is from: Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor, White (Baby Product)
My wife and I received two monitors from our baby shower, this one and a much more expensive one. After testing each one we found that this one easily out-performed the other hands down. The range was incredible, I got tired of walking before I lost the signal. I would recommend this monitor to anyone especially at the price.

I'm impressed, November 12, 2004
This review is from: Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor, White (Baby Product)
I purchased this monitor to replace a more expensive one that we lost in a house fire. I am very impressed with it considering the price. It is quiet and I can hear more in this one than I could the more expensive one. I have it sitting up on a high dresser, my daughters bed is at least 10 foot away if not more and I can actually hear her breathing loud and clear.

Great product, with AWESOME range!, October 18, 2001
This review is from: Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor, White (Baby Product)
I have had this monitor for 2 years and still use it for my son at night. It has performed wonderfully, but I thought I should illustrate to other users the range that this monitor has, and the one quirk I've noticed with it:If the receiver is on, but the monitor in the baby's room is off, it can pick up other frequencies. We have heard one of our neighbors' baby crying over our monitor when our son wasn't home! I'm not sure if she has the same monitor and is using the same frequency, or what; but be warned that the range on this thing is amazing! (Just be careful to turn your monitor/receiver off if you don't want neighbors to eavesdrop!)

Fine monitor, November 28, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor, White (Baby Product)
The reception is clear, both units can be operated on batteries or plugged in. They are very portable, especially with parent unit having the belt clip. If you turn the sound all the way up you can hear your baby breathing. To hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the room you can keep the sound at the regular level. I sometimes "walk" the baby by putting him on the balkony in his stroller and setting the baby's unit in it, so I do not have to keep the window/balkony door open. Other features I'd look for in a monitor (that's where my rating lost a star) would be cool looks and charge base, but then again, in this one you can simply change a battery, whereas in a rechargeable unit you'd have to place it in base and loose portability for a while. Why not simply use rechargeable batteries? :) Overall it's a very good monitor and I am satisfied with it.

It really is crystal clear!, December 27, 2001
This review is from: Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor, White (Baby Product)
We got this monitor for free so I did not expect much from it. However, the first time we used it, I was amazed by how well it worked! We could hear everything that was going on in the baby's room--even the words to the songs playing on the radio that was playing softly in the far corner of the room. The volume is adjustable, so it is perfect during the night when you do not want to be awoken to the sounds of a screaming baby. Both the transmitter and receiver are compact enough to place anywhere in the house and to pack when traveling--you can even wear the receiver. Another plus is that you have a choice of plugging them into an outlet or using batteries. It's a great monitor especially for the price!

Even better than the expensive models!, November 14, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor, White (Baby Product)
We got this monitor free with a stroller purchase. Since we'd also received an expensive 900 Mhz monitor as a gift, we threw this one in the drawer, figuring we'd only use it at Grandma's or as a backup. Our expensive monitor was trash. After fighting with it for months, I pulled this one out of the drawer. It works perfectly! The sound is clear (I can even hear my son breathing as he sleeps), the range is good, and the batteries last well. I wish we'd just stuck with this one in the first place! The only thing I miss are the lights on my expensive monitor, which allowed me to turn the sound down but still see if my child was making any noise. Other than that, I love this monitor!

Excellent Monitor!!, September 1, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor, White (Baby Product)
This is an excellent monitor, especially for the money. It is very sensitive. I can hear any moves my daughter makes or breathing at night since it is very clear. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I feel it is very reliable. I had a more expensive model and it did not work nearly as well. I highly recommend this.
