There are many walkman minidisc players and recorders, but all of them seem to have serious faults. Some operate on battery only, others can record only through your PC. The Sony MD Walkman MZ-R700 rectifies all of those problems. You can record directly or through a PC. It can operate for hours on a single AA battery, but you can also plug in the AC power adapter. Minidiscs can hold tremendous amounts of music: up to four CDs fit on one minidisc. The reprduction of sound is superb. And it is small! I have used minidiscs for years and have never had to re-record a disc no matter how many times I play it. It attaches easily to any amplifier or headphones. I can't praise it too much.
