Worked for me
I purchased this pump when I went out of town with my medela PIS and forgot a couple pieces to it. I was so engorged that I had to buy a pump to get me through the night. Well I bought this pump. This pump sucks, and not in a good way
When it actually works, the pump is wonderful. Great suction, very quick. I could get 4 ounces in about 5 minutes. Really, wonderful. And then something called Time passed, and the pump seemed to age prematurely. About 1 month after using it, it LOST ALL SUCTION. Wasn't able to fix it, or get a hold of customer service (my wait time was aparently 20 minutes). So, silly...

Worked for me, July 10, 2005
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Auto-Cycling Breast Pump (Baby Product)
I purchased this pump when I went out of town with my medela PIS and forgot a couple pieces to it. I was so engorged that I had to buy a pump to get me through the night. Well I bought this pump. When I used the pump I was absolutely amazed with the fact that it didn't hurt like my medela, and it felt like the baby suckling. I liked the fact that it vibrates because it stimulates your nipples which means more let down, which also means more milk in less time. Well I used it for 3 weeks about 8 times a day. My nipple healed and boy was I happy. After using it for 3 weeks it stopped suctioning, so I called evenflo and the lady told me to make sure the parts were wet when I used it. Well I got off the phone and immediately did that and it started working again. I like the fact that it's not a lot of parts to assemble, it vibrates and the suction on max is perfect. The only thing I don't like about it is that's it seems rather loud to me. I have 3 pumps, the medala PIS, the avent isis and this one and I like this one better than the avent. If evenflo would put a quieter motor this would be a great inexpensive pump.

Works great for us!, August 22, 2006
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Auto-Cycling Breast Pump (Baby Product)
I began using this pump when my first child was born 2.5 years ago and am using it again with my newborn. I've used it to relieve engorgement and pump extra to keep in the freezer just in case. I've never had any mechanical issues . . . in fact, when I pulled it out of storage last week I was able to pump 6 oz. in 10 minutes on 2.5-year-old batteries!
My only complaint is that the rubber horn cover doesn't stay put and traps milk between the cover and the horn itself; I removed the cover and just don't use it. It makes no difference in the functionality of the pump itself.

This pump sucks, and not in a good way, September 1, 2005

When it actually works, the pump is wonderful. Great suction, very quick. I could get 4 ounces in about 5 minutes. Really, wonderful. And then something called Time passed, and the pump seemed to age prematurely. About 1 month after using it, it LOST ALL SUCTION. Wasn't able to fix it, or get a hold of customer service (my wait time was aparently 20 minutes). So, silly me, I got another one. Then, the electric cord stopped working. I had to fiddle with it to get it to run. So I used the cord from my first broken one. That worked, for about 3 weeks. Now it is broken again and no amount of fiddling will make it run. I'm sitting here at work, my boobs filling with milk -- FILLING I tell ya! And no f*****g pump because I chose this piece of crap, twice!!! And by the way, the box says it runs with batteries. It doesn't run with batteries. It sits there, useless, with batteries. Don't buy this pump. Spend more money and get a better quality one. It will be worth your time and frustration!

This electric Pump is worth not buying an expensive one!, May 14, 2005
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Auto-Cycling Breast Pump (Baby Product)
This electric pump worked wonder's for me. I'ts not painful at all. It does not leak and the motor is not very loud either. The only diffiency with this pump is the suction could have been a little stronger. Atleast for me because this is my second child and my milk production sucks. Also, there's not a problem with the breast milk leaking into the motor.

Okay, but not great, April 30, 2008
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Auto-Cycling Breast Pump (Baby Product)
I received this pump as a gift at one of my showers, and it has been okay. I rarely need to pump milk since I stay home with my daughter, but it is nice to be able to every once in a while if I need to. This pump is loud and it has to be on the highest setting in order for it to work. Mine does not have enough power on batteries, so I always have to have it plugged in. I am able to get about 8 oz in 15 minutes, but lately I think that it has lost some of it's power and I'm afraid it isn't going to last much longer. The good things about it are that it doesn't hurt, and it it easy to clean and use.

Works great for me!, April 5, 2007
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Auto-Cycling Breast Pump (Baby Product)
I purchased this pump knowing that I would not be using it to pump often - but to relieve occasional engorgement. The pump was a snap to assemble and worked great. I was able to pump 5 oz in less than 15 mins. The pump is a tad loud but didn't bother me. I would recommend this pump to anyone over a manual pump. I was quite pleased.

I have used this pump everyday for the past two months and have not had a single problem with it. I used other pumps with my first baby and never had any success. I absolutley love this pump and I highly reccommend it!

Has good points and bad, September 23, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Auto-Cycling Breast Pump (Baby Product)
I had been using the Avent manuel pump for 6 months while at work. I wanted to try using an electric at home between nursing sessions, so I wouldn't have to pump manualy all the time. I think it works about as well as my Avent. But I wouldn't use it at work because it's too loud to be descreet, and it only comes with one 4 oz bottle. At home, I can just pour the milk into my Avent bottles, which don't fit this pump. But at work that'd be too much trouble. Also, the carrying case isn't insulated, so I couldn't use the case to transport milk from work to home. I'd have to buy an insulated case. But it's a good pump to use at home. The low suctions are pretty low, and the max suction isn't as powerful as my Avent, but it works well on the max setting anyway. Very comfortable.

loud but works, April 3, 2008
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Auto-Cycling Breast Pump (Baby Product)
This pump pulls as much milk as the hospital grade pump I rented. I'm not sure about the reviews that state it has tubing - it doesn't (my Medela does but this one doesn't). My only complaints are that it is loud and a small blue piece that creates the suction falls out easily. Had I not noticed the sound of it hitting the floor, I might have missed dropping it and would have thought the pump had bad suction or had lost suction.

Slow and Loud, April 17, 2006
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Auto-Cycling Breast Pump (Baby Product)
I went to visit my parents for the weekend and forgot a part for my Medela Harmony manual pump (which is great for occasional use). My parents live in a small town, so the pump selection was not extensive. Out of desperation I bought this pump, and it is the loudest, slowest piece of junk I have ever used. I wouldn't have minded the noise if it had pumped as fast as my Medela Harmony, but it didn't even come close. I hate that I wasted my money. If you only need a pump for occasional use, I definitely suggest the Medela Harmony manual pump, which is about the same price.
