Wake up and smell the clean air...
I love this filter! After one week I was shocked at how much dirt it cleaned up from our air. You do have to replace the filters but it is totally worth it.
If it is in the room with you and you are trying to talk or watch tv it is very NICE to be able to turn it down, to hear better without having to turn it off. Don't get me wrong, even the high setting is...

Tried it three times....forget this one!
We got this unit as a gift..it emitted a horrible burning smell that permeated half the house. We put it in the garage and ran it for a week..the smell did not go away. Contacted Hunter...very long waits on the phone. Once they do answer they are happy to help. We sent the cord from the unit back and got a replacement unit. The second unit emitted the same awful burning...

If it is in the room with you and you are trying to talk or watch tv it is very NICE to be able to turn it down, to hear better without having to turn it off. Don't get me wrong, even the high setting is NOT that noisey. I highly recommend this air cleaner for the price and for the quality.

Great air purifier for the money, April 11, 2009
This review is from: Hunter QuietFlo Air Purifier, 3 Speeds, 30090 (Kitchen)
The Hunter line of hepa air filters are great. Just make sure you buy the right one that fits the size of the room you want to use it in. Its quiet, and works great. You have to vacuum out the pre filter once a month, and the hepa filter lasts about a year.

Compact decent arifiler, August 23, 2008
This review is from: Hunter QuietFlo Air Purifier, 3 Speeds, 30090 (Kitchen)
The Hunter 300090 appears to have decent build quality. Fan is not as quiet as I was hoping for, but should not be too loud in most situations and does move a lot of air. Filter is easy to replace. Unit is nice that you can mount on the wall, lay on its side, or stand upright.

I would definitely recommend, May 27, 2009
This review is from: Hunter QuietFlo Air Purifier, 3 Speeds, 30090 (Kitchen)
I have had this particular air purifier for a year and a half now and have loved it! I would have given it 5 stars but the replacement filters are a bit pricey.
I have this in the room with my guinea pigs and computer and all my paper files so there is a lot of dust and dander in addition to hay that the guinea pigs eat. The room is slightly larger than recommended but it has not been a problem. The odor control is great and this is the least dusty room in the house since we bought it. It has been run non-stop for the year and a half we have had it except to change filters. On very rare occasions it will seem loud. I usually vacuum the front grill and shake it out (hay tends to fall in) and this resolves the loudness.
I am getting ready to purchase one for each of our 3 bedrooms. I would just check the filter replacement costs first and decide if you want to spend that much. Otherwise, this is a great air purifier for the price!

Good and Quiet, October 22, 2008
This review is from: Hunter QuietFlo Air Purifier, 3 Speeds, 30090 (Kitchen)
I chose this purifier because it was inexpensive and got a decent review on Consumer Reports. I am very happy with it because its quiet on the low setting so I can leave it on overnight. My husband didn't even notice it was on. (We had to turn off our old purifier but it was meant for a larger room). Only minus-- don't count on being able to use the replacement timer because I found one of the knobs impossibly hard to turn. I guess a little post-it note will do.

Hello fresh-smelling house!!!, November 27, 2008
This review is from: Hunter QuietFlo Air Purifier, 3 Speeds, 30090 (Kitchen)
I have never used an air-purifier,but the minute the windows had to be shut for winter,I knew something non-toxic had to be used to fight "doggy winter-odor" from taking over the house. So,not knowing anything whatsoever about air-purifiers,I did some research and ended up with the Hunter. I chose this model because it wasn't very expensive. Also,I knew it wouldn't harm my 4 parrots in any way. That was the number one factor in choosing an air-purifier.
It works.I use it in the living room and have asked my friends to come over to walk in the front door to see if the stale dog odor was still overpowering. They all took deep breaths and pronounced the air fit to breathe. It collects a lot of dander and hair and such.
With 4 dogs,2 cats and 4 parrots,it is hard to keep the dander down to a tolerable level.Maybe I will do an update in the future, but for now,I'm completely satisfied.Oh,one more thing:it is fairly quiet and even on the highest level, the noise is minimal.Plus, the filters are easy to get at.
Maybe I can finally have people over who don't instantly make a "ewww...dogs!" face when they walk in the door.I made it every time I came back from shopping or whatever, but the few days I've used this product, the air seems fresher now.

So impressed I bought another!, December 22, 2008
This review is from: Hunter QuietFlo Air Purifier, 3 Speeds, 30090 (Kitchen)
You can see the results! Bright sunshine coming through the window showed air was not clear, haze and particles in it. Couple of hours on medium and it was crystal clear! Can't see any reason to run on high which is slightly loud unless something on the stove burned. Seems well made. Will probably change charcoal filter rather than washing since it has a finite adsorptive capacity which washing won't remedy. Half list price was deciding factor in purchase.

Tried it three times....forget this one!, May 26, 2010

Went through the same incredibly long wait to customer service. They gladly sent us a different model altogether. I cannot understand how the third unit smelled as bad as the others. You would think before they sent a third unit out they might test it first.
We am so disappointed in their air cleaners. We just cannot purchase a filter from this company. If you have lung issues...steer clear of this company!

Hunter 30090 QuietFlo Not worth It!, May 26, 2010
This review is from: Hunter QuietFlo Air Purifier, 3 Speeds, 30090 (Kitchen)
Don't bother to purchase this product. The filter only lasts for 2 months, and the replacement filter costs more than the unit itself. I have been spending a fortune on replacing filters. If you do purchase this unit, be prepared to just throw the whole unit out when you need to replace the filter. It's cheaper!!

worked great for awhile, April 14, 2009
This review is from: Hunter QuietFlo Air Purifier, 3 Speeds, 30090 (Kitchen)
Well this filter worked great for about a month. Then it started to rattle a little but only sometimes. Now when it's running it has a burning smell and sometimes I have to hit it to get it to turn on. I'm going to have to check the warranty information.
