I keep these on hand.
I follow a carb-cycling diet. Some days I have carbs and some I don't and I take this to help me on the days I am allowed 2 or 3 servings of carbs. I don't think this product is a license to eat whatever you want but all things in moderation, you know. I always keep a bottle on hand. Over the holidays, I was terrible and I took them everyday. Don't waste your money; amylase inhibitors do not block carbohydrate assimilation
"Carb Intercept" is a purified bean derivative (Phaseolus vulgaris), which contains naturally occurring inhibitors to amylase. This does not block starch absorption, it only delays it. Here is a Pubmed article demonstrating this fact in normal patients and diabetics:

"Carb Intercept" is a purified bean derivative (Phaseolus vulgaris), which contains naturally occurring inhibitors to amylase. This does not block starch absorption, it only delays it. Here is a Pubmed article demonstrating this fact in normal patients and diabetics:

This medication does slow the rate of carbohydrate absorption, but does not block any carbs.

Did not work for my wife and I!, March 16, 2009

My wife and I recently tried Carb Intercept and it actually made both of us gain exactly 10 pounds. So we stopped after a two week supply. Everyone is different so It could work for other but it did not work for us. On to the next great product. Cheers

I've been using this product for several months to help me lose weight. I take 2 caplets everytime I eat a white carb and it seems to help quite a bit. Product arrived fast and in great shape.

Blood sugaqr, April 19, 2010

I purchased several bottles of these on sale at CVS. I trust the Natrol name and my daughter tested her blood sugar last week and it was 320. Mine was over 200. SO we decided to go on a diet and cut out as much sugar, potatoes as possible. We're both eating better and taking the Carb Intercept as directed. She has now lost 9 pounds. I'm not showing any weight loss but I'm missing half of a double chin. Her blood sugar and mine have both fallen to under 150. I called a few CVS's and had them save the pills for me and I drove 20 miles to get 2 more bottles. We cannot take diet aids that raise BP so these were perfect. I did notice a fiber like laxative effect (hallelulah). I've been on Rx for constipation and even they didn't work. So I'll definitely buy many more bottles of these.
So my daughter would recommend these for weight loss and blood sugar control and I would recommend them as a good laxative. They're worth a try. I have 3 bottles on hand and count myself lucky to have found them on sale.

I receieved this item very fast. It works good, but didn't see results like i was hoping. I did lose five pounds. I'm sure it can't work miracles, but we can always dream!!!

I did not find any help from it even with dieting. I thought at least I would not gain any weight. I used it like directed before eating carb's 3 x a day and suprisingly I gained 2 lbs. I wouldnt buy it again. It just didn't work for me.

They seem to block the healthy carbs, but not the ultraprocessed stuff so its not like you can scarf down all the carbs you've dreamt of.
Also, whenever I eat peanuts after taking this, it totally rips my innards up....I dont know if thats bad or good...

I have read nothing but good things about this product. I have just started using it, so long term I don't know, but so far it has seemed to be helpful. Very easy to use and I have seen some results, which is better than some products.
