Great Product!
This case is a perfect fit for my guitar. I'm a complete beginner at the guitar and have a number of friends who are anything but. I went to my loval music store and found their cheapest case to be a chipwood POS for 80 bucks. I wanted a hard case, but had no need to spend hundreds of dollars for a case rated to sustain a fall from orbit.

Gator GC-Dread acoustic guitar case
Unfortunately, the first shipment of this guitar case was inappropriately packaged and arrived damaged, having had the lower end of the case smashed at some time during shipment. It would be inadvisable to use this case as a shipping crate or to send it through airline luggage...at least not if you value your guitar. The molded plastic is definitely too thin and brittle...

Unfortunately, the first shipment of this guitar case was inappropriately packaged and arrived damaged, having had the lower end of the case smashed at some time during shipment. It would be inadvisable to use this case as a shipping crate or to send it through airline luggage...at least not if you value your guitar. The molded plastic is definitely too thin and brittle to withstand shipment abuses. I do have to mention, however, that Amazon was EXCELLENT in quickly resending a replacement case appropriately packaged to prevent damage. In regard to the guitar case itself, the INNER sizing of this case does NOT fit a standard dreadnought guitar. I bought this case to protect my old Dobro, which fits in it fine. However, even though it's supposed to be a 'dreadnought' case, it was too shallow for my Fender DG-11 dreadnought. The lid pressed down on top of the bridge and the neck even before the lid closed all the way. I believe that closing/latching the lid would eventually have damaged the guitar body due to excessive pressure, particularly on the bridge area. The shell of the case itself is big enough, but the design of the inner lining eats up a lot of the depth of the actual case. The accessory compartment is roomy enough but sticks up too high and does not support or cradle the neck of the dreadnought. In addition to using a (better?) more resilient molded plastic, I think Gator needs to make some revisions to the design of the interior of the case so that it can actually be used for a standard 'dreadnought' style guitar.

Not Big enough inside, October 28, 2008

The case is made very well but the inside doesn't have enough room as it wouldn't fit my Stagg acoustic guitar and close without possible damage.

This case has everything I need: a perfect fit, a spacious pocket, a lock, and a tough exterior. A++

The case itself is GREAT, but it is shorter than indicated on the website and hence the guitar does not fit, and the situation has not been resolved yet. Frustrating.

This case fits my Yamaha FGX730SC AE perfectly! It's a little bit tight, which is what I wanted. It also doubles as an impromptu drum/djembe when empty!

Great Case, October 9, 2009

Took This Case on a plane a few weeks ago...had no problem what so ever. Sturdy plastic, hinges and buckles are sturdy as well. Great case. My only issue is that my fender acoustic is a tight fit...i believe at the bridge. It still fits great but i'm not sure if its causing unnecessary pressure. But the guitar made it on and off the plane no problem at all, and like i said, sturdy, good case. WELL WELL WELL worth the price!

A very good quality case. Very inexpensive. Holds some music and other items with the guitar. Keeps it safe. Comes with 2 keys. Our family really likes it.
