Sunglasses are fantastic!
I couldn't be happier with my Bolle Parole Tennis Sunglasses. They do exactly what they are supposed to do, and I'm not squinting on the tennis courts anymore. I was hoping they would make me a champion player; that hasn't happened yet, but I'm not giving up. They were also excellent when we went kayaking for eliminating glare from the water.

Great lenses, poor frames
I bought these about a year ago primarily for tennis. Here are my observations:
1) Then color of the lenses is GREAT for tennis. They nicely contrast the ball against the court. They have enough typical "sunglass" quality to block out the suns rays on bright days but still keep the court and surroundings sufficiently bright and contrasted. A+ for the...

Sunglasses are fantastic!, October 24, 2008

Two of my friends have already gone to Amazon.com to order a pair for themselves.

Great lenses, poor frames, July 11, 2010
This review is from: Parole-Tennis (Apparel)
I bought these about a year ago primarily for tennis. Here are my observations:
1) Then color of the lenses is GREAT for tennis. They nicely contrast the ball against the court. They have enough typical "sunglass" quality to block out the suns rays on bright days but still keep the court and surroundings sufficiently bright and contrasted. A+ for the lenses.
2) The frames accommodate different lenses including gray and rose colors. This is done by gently pulling the lenses to disengage plastic pieces on the frames that seat into indentations in the lens. I have never changed lenses in these glasses but the frames are loose enough that the lenses tend to fall out. Once the lens drops onto a court, be assured that it's scratched forever, usually right in the middle of the filed of view. This is maddening. Finally a lens dropped out onto a hard court and the intended part that seats into the frames broke. I superglued the lens in place to the frames and I've had no more problems. This obviously precludes any further lens swapping though.
3) The filed of view coverage is great and I don't have a problem with the top or bottom of my visual range being above or below the lens coverage.
4) The case is really nice.
All in all, great lenses and pretty shoddy frames. I solved the problem of the lenses coming disengaged from the frames by permanently affixing them to the frames. Since I use these only for tennis, no big deal, but if you're considering this purchase for multiple uses, beware.

Green glasses, July 8, 2009
This review is from: Parole-Tennis (Apparel)
I am in the midst of an extended search for the perfect tennis sunglasses. Since there aren't many reviews here, I would love to add just a few points about these glasses. I certainly don't mean to knock amazon or bolle because I am a fan and customer of both.
1. These glasses are green so although they may help you view the court under some weather conditions, they also cast your eyes/face in a green tint. It's unusual. Not the end of the world but I find it distracting, especially when a tennis instructor is wearing them while trying to teach. As far as style goes, there is some consideration to be given to the fact that you will look sort of green and space-man-like while wearing these glasses.
2. They are for sale on tennis warehouse for about the same price but also coming with another lens in smoke color.
3. While it would be nice to have this as an extra pair of cool glasses, especially in cloudy conditions, for the most part I will be sticking with a darker lens color, brown or smoke or polarized, for my hours on the courts.
