5.0 out of 5 stars BEST RANGEFINDER FOR THE MONEY ! !
All the Nikon Monarch 800's made nowadays, REALTREE camo or the matte black, are super clear, super accurate and have few if any problems reading even through your windshield on a rainy day ! I've lost on Leupold's and Bushnell's...both trash compare to this World Class RF. My first I bought at Amazon, and since have ordered and tested several more for family and friends...

1.0 out of 5 stars Nikon Monarch 800 Camo Rangefinder
"I had mine just over a year and loved it, but it quit working two weeks ago and I sent it in to Nikon for repairs. They wanted $311.00 to repair it. Might at well buy a new one. Very Poor Customer Service from Nikon."

I've lost on Leupold's and Bushnell's...both trash compare to this World Class RF. My first I bought at Amazon, and since have ordered and tested several more for family and friends. These are also sleek and erogonomically sound, and they even have a good battery saver feature, scan mode, a real joy to use...and you will not be disappointed !!

5.0 out of 5 stars Reliability in all conditions, December 30, 2009

Great product from nikon, very dependable, highly accurate and worth every penny for that can't miss shot. When something BIG is on the line you don't want to second guess your distance. I love the waterproof feature of this finder, when you pay up to $400 for something like this you don't want it ruined by rain, and conversely you want to be able to use it on those foggy/drizzly days without fear of breaking it. The nikon is also fairly shock proof, I've dropped it from tree stands before (just once actually) and not so much as a scratch on it and everything worked great, not sure I'd do it again, but it was nice to know that when accidents happen the build quality will help you greatly. Another nice feature is the battery save and the scanning/sweeping mode. Just pick one of these up in your hand and you can tell it's not some cheap piece of junk. Money well spent. Have has mine 2 years and would buy another but I'm pretty sure this one will last until they don't make batteries for it anymore... :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great rangefinder, November 4, 2009

Purchased mainly for golf, but also for hunting. Rangefinder is light, small and accurate; once you get the hang of finding the flag yardage by first targeting the flag, and if you are not quite sure, or have shakey hands, panning the flag and noticing the yardage changes, you will be very happy with this unit.
