Best Thing We've Purchased
This table is sturdy, great quality and can easily accomodate 4 children. The paper roll concept is wonderful and very safe as well.

nice table but bad paint job
The idea for this table is great but the paint on it is not the best. If you do not remove washable marker immediately it very quickly becomes permanent. I had another child's table before and the kids really marked it up a lot but I never had any trouble cleaning it no matter how much time went by before I got to it. That makes me think the company did not choose the...

This art table is awesome. The benches are wide enough for me to sit beside my child as he or she is working. The table and benches are well-built as well. This is a worthwile investment for your budding picasso!

The idea for this table is great but the paint on it is not the best. If you do not remove washable marker immediately it very quickly becomes permanent. Not the durability you would expect., September 10, 2008

I bought this for my girls since they LOVE to draw. It started out fine but a few weeks later, a leg broke off and no amount on wood glue, etc...was able to keep it from falling off again. The kids finally just used the bench minus one leg. We also found the the benches, while they do hold an adults weight, tend to tip over fairly easily if the kids wiggle at all. I also agree with another review when they said that pen and markers WILL stain the table and it is next to impossible to get any marks off of it. It is a good art table as long as you can put up with a few incoveniences.

THE ALEX SUPER ART TABLE IS WONDERFUL. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THERE WERE PARTS MISSING - THE HEX SCREWS AND THE HEX WRENCH. I CONTACTED THE COMPANY VIA EMAIL THREE TIMES NO RESPONSE. SO I CALLED THE COMPANY DIRECTLY ADVISING THAT THIS WAS A GIFT FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTER AND ASK THAT THESE ITEMS BE SHIPPED TO US BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I WAS ADVISED THAT THIS WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM. OF COURSE IT IS DECEMBER 30TH AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PARTS. BEFORE CHRISTMAS MY HUSBAND AND I WENT TO SEVERAL HARDWARE STORES BEFORE WE COULD FIND WHAT WE NEEDED. SO AS ORDERING VIA THE INTERNET I WOULD BUY FROM A DEPARTMENT STORE THE NEXT TIME--AT LEAST THEY COULD HANDLE THIS MATTER FOR ME.

Great all-around table, December 26, 2007

I bought this item for my 2 1/2 year old for Christmas and she loves it. Carefully packaged and shipped very quickly- arrived in time for Christmas even though I missed the cut off ship date. Great large colorful activity table with room for art supply storage and can accomodate up to four children.
My only concern is the durablity of the table legs which are made of brittle wood, and the end of the table that contains the "basket" not having much support. We had to re-thread one of the table legs since the thread stuck out more then the rest and would not tighten. Be very careful of legs splitting when tightening even with little pressure- we found that backing out the threads and applying a bit of wood glue before re-threading made the wood less likely to split and increased the leg core strength. Despite these issues, the table is very stable and is easy to set-up.
A great value overall (which even included free shipping) and I would recommend to any parent searching for a childrens activity/art table.

My 5 year old and 18 month old LOVE this art table. Easy to put together, durable and cleanable. Large enough for friends to sit and draw....paper cutter and cup holders make this a well-designed table.....they even prefer to eat meals at this colorful spot....

This set is all that we had hoped it would be. The table and benches are heavy duty and durable and if your child likes to color/draw/write then this is the perfect centerpiece for their play area. The paper roll provides them with continuous workspace as well as the chalkboard tabletop itself. We love this!

We got this for my son when he was 1 1/2 (against manufacturer recommendation...but oh well :) He is almost 2 1/2 and he LOVES this table. My husband and I, grandparents, babysitters can all sit with him and color. The benches are super sturdy and the table is big enough for several people to color at once. Only complaint (and minor) is one of the legs on a bench is loose because where you screw it in is stripped. It is still sturdy, though. And this thing has been through ALOT! Would buy again and again.

I ordered this product after looking at several others on the internet. I liked this table because of the chalkboard and paper roll feature. The table is a good size with 2 benches for children. The only problem with the table was that when I was putting it together two of the bolts that you screw the legs into were not soldered to the frame plates. I had to unscrew the 2 plates and then first screw the chair legs into the bolts and then re screw on the plates. It took some figuring out but eventually I got it all put together. I recommend Alex to use a better quality inspection team upon manufacturing. Obviously this was overlooked. Most people probably would have returned this item as faulty. Overall however this product is a good purchase.
