Lasts almost forever
Twenty years and they still look terrific! I bought these Corelle Shadow Iris sets a little over 20 years ago as I was going off to college. We're still using them and now having three boys, we've only broken 2 or 3 dishes (preschoolers dropping them on the hardwood floor); otherwise they still look like new. Broken 2 times out of 3
I ordered 2 sets of these dishes. 1 arrived fine and we obsolutely love them. #2 arrived broken, Amazon replaced it ASAP. However they replaced it with another set that came broken. Now they don't know if they can replace it a third time because it's a "widespread" problem. Dissapointing because I do love the set I have. Looking around at reviews of the other...

I ordered 2 sets of these dishes. 1 arrived fine and we obsolutely love them. #2 arrived broken, Amazon replaced it ASAP. However they replaced it with another set that came broken. Now they don't know if they can replace it a third time because it's a "widespread" problem. Dissapointing because I do love the set I have. Looking around at reviews of the other corelle pieces I wanted, a lot of them are coming broken to.

Twenty years and they still look terrific! I bought these Corelle Shadow Iris sets a little over 20 years ago as I was going off to college. The pattern was discontinued for a few years at the end of the 1990's, they then brought the pattern back.

I purchased this set in 1986 when I was 17 years old for my hope chest. I moved away from my parents shortly after. I still use this same set today. They still look great! I have purchased other Corell dishes with a kind of fluted edges and they seem more prone to scratches. I highly recomend this product!

I needed lighter dishes due to increasing pain in my hands from Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have VERY heavy stoneware dishes and just couldn't handle them anymore. I remembered that Corelle dishes were very light weight so I started looking at the different patterns. I must say that every picture of this set doe NOT do it justice! They are absolutely gorgeous. Everyone who has seen them tells me how beautiful they are. The other plus for me are the glasses. I have more cups & mugs then I know what to do with. And again, the pictures of the glasses are not as striking as the glasses themselves. I also ordered the salt and pepper shaker and they turned out to be so much larger then I expected. I can't say enough about this set. It's worth every penny and more!

This was the only Corelle dinner set without a border-only design. Also, one of the few sets which comes with glasses. Hence, the premium to other Corelle dinner sets is probably justified. Good for daily use.
The set arrived on the third day, and with all plates, bowls and glasses intact.

The dishes came packed perfectly and none broken. They are beautiful dishes - the colors are so pretty and subtle. I love having them in my home. I have used them in the microwave and they are fine. A very satisfactory purchase!!!

I ordered this set to add on to our existing shadow iris collection. The first time around the piece arrived in shards, and we were worried that amazon wouldn't be able to help us. No problem! We called up customer service and they sent us a replacement set within 48 hours in perfect condition.... mind you, Corelle claims it's dinner ware is break and chip resistant ....in my opinion, this refers to normal wear and tear, dishwasher and microwave related incidents, even the occasional plate slipping from your hand....I'm convinced our first set was thrown about before it arrived at our doorstep...coming back to the dinner set, we've used these pieces over and over and they look as good as new....the plates look much prettier than they appear in the pictures....the serveware pieces (casserole, covered dish) look a little old-fashioned to me, so I wouldn't add these pieces to your collection unless you're looking for something with a vintage, flowery look...all in all, Corelle lives up to it's high standards

I never even saw the product.
I couldn't even open the box. I could tell from the sound it was in a million pieces - I let them send me another. Guess what -- again - I knew I didn't even need to open the box. Sent everything back. At least the refund was prompt.

This dinnerware is beautiful, and performs as advertised. I love the light weight, and have replaced all my heavy ironstone with Corelle. Although I was somewhat concerned about others' experiences with breakage, I received my two sets in perfect condition... guess my UPS guy is more careful than theirs!
