Great Bag for the Price
This camcorder bag works perfectly for my Canon XH A1. It's big and roomy and has plenty of storage for extras. It's been my carry-on at the airport a number of times and the shoulder strap is very comfortable. My one qualm and reason for the 4 star rating is that it lacks a solid bottom layer. It would have been a lot nicer if they would have just used some firm plastic...
Annoying mostly
I bought this bag for my Panasonic AG-DVX100B. If fits fine. It has enough padding. Shoulder strap and carrying handle are good. My dislikes are that it does not have enough separate zippered compartments. Only one on the side. The big inside pouch for the camera has little velcro walls that are moveable, which is not as good as zippered compartments for tapes,...
It would have been a lot nicer if they would have just used some firm plastic for the bottom of this thing, but instead its just fabric and padding. I think if I ever dropped the bag and it landed on concrete, it might cause damage. But that's what I get for buying a soft-case. You just have to be a bit more careful with it.

It suits my needs perfectly. I store the shotgun mike in the outside pocket. I put my extra battery and tapes in one corner pocket and the lav mikes in the other. The rest of the minor stuff (charger etc) fits perfectly in the large side pocket.
The camera is perfectly stable and held down by a strap. The packaging all round is sturdy foam.
If you're thinking of carrying this for regular shoots with your tripod et all, it's a good idea to buy this but if you're hiking or wandering through and just want to pull your camera out for shooting on the run, you're better off purchasing a backpack case. KATA has some pretty good options in that area as well.
For long term storage of your equipment, buy a steel case - the Panasonic one that's specially moulded for your DVX100B.

I'm not very picky when it comes to certain items. This camera case does a sufficient job of carrying my camcorder (Panasonic AG-HVX200P) as well as a few other things. I have space for a few batteries, the AC power supply, audio/visual cables, tapes, and other necessities. It is soft and padded on the inside and protectively firm on the outer front and back sides. It should be understood that this case is good for carrying a camera. Microphones, extra cables, cords, and large amounts of tapes (more than 10) may not fit neatly without putting some effort into how you pack the case.
This case works very well for a camera of this size (L 16" x W 5" x H 8").

I just received my Kata CC-193 today and I couldn't be more pleased! It's a perfect fit for my Panasonic HMC-150 and all of it's cables and accessories! I didn't even have to use the front zippered pocket so there is still room for more.
The construction is VERY sturdy and seems like it will protect the camera very nicely. All in all I can say that I'm super happy with the purchase and it was definitely worth the $135 I spent on it.

Well I just got this bag for my Panasonic ag-dvx100b and it works great! I will say straight away however I have only had this for a few days, but from what I've seen, it works amazingly. The bag's corners are very rigid to protect it from even moderate hits and the material the outside walls are made of seem very durable. The inside is a nice yellow padding felt like fabric with three dividers. two horizontal shorter ones, and a long one that runs the whole length of the bag. The strap is large and very comfortable, spreading the weight of a possibly heavy camera. All in all this bag looks like it will protect your equipment from certain degrees of pain. It is no metal case, so don't sit on it or toss it, yet for what you pay it will give you a very nice sense of security with easy access and comfort.

I ordered this camera bag for a Canon GL-2. The bag is extremely well made, and it is very strong. It is surprisingly lightweight for such a large bag. The GL-2 fits perfectly, with plenty of room left for accessories, batteries, chargers, tapes, etc. It's really the perfect size bag for hitting the road with a midsize camcorder.
I think it's a little expensive compared with similar-quality bags I bought recently, but I bought it because it's the perfect size and has quick access to the camera.
Definately recommended.

I purchased this bag to keep my Canon XH-A1S safe and it's a great fit. It has thick walls and interior compartments to keep mics, cords, and tapes handy. It's definitely pricey but it's great for taking the camera on a shoot with a good amount of gear. It's not a hard case though so it's important to avoid treating it too roughly.

My Sony Z5U fits perfectly in this bag, all I have to do is disconnect the shotgun mike and place it facing backwards. I adjusted the padded separators so the camera is to one side, leaving space for the double battery charger, my headphones, and my Sony Alpha DSLR... with two additional SLR zoom lenses. And I can fit all the cables I need on the side pocket, plus an extra battery, and 7 Mini DV tapes. So you might conclude that you could get away with something smaller if you ONLY want to carry your 45 cm prosumer video camera, because this one easily fits a much larger camera if you eliminate the interior padded separators. In fact, I confess this bag was MUCH larger than I expected, but I love the way it is built and saw the positive side of its oversizing.
The only drawback I noticed: despite its really comfy shoulder strap, I packed it with so many things, now I can't carry it for too long without feeling my shoulder is gonna snap. But I think that's really my fault, not the bag's, so it keeps its five stars.
