Great product -- expensive but definitely worth it
I purchased this item to wall-mount a 50" plasma TV. It is a very high quality product, was easy to mount (though it definitely takes two people), the instructions were clear, and the manufacturer included all the necessary hardware and then some. Once mounted, it is very stable and easy to adjust, and adjusts in many dimensions (left to right, tilt, pan, roll, in and...
Beware! Requires 16" stud spacing; not compatible with 24" spacing.
This product requires your wall studs to be spaced 16" apart. I found it incredible that you have to actually find this in the manual. 24" stud spacing is fairly common I think, and a wall mount should be compatible with both. Or at least put that into the product description!!
The return shipping for this 48-pound item is NOT cheap.

Overall I like the mount - but I have a few issues that other potential buyers might want to be aware of.
First - color (which I attribute to Amazon). The listing (at the time of this writing and when I ordered) does not specify the color anywhere in all the details and the photo is / can be misleading. I wanted and thought I was getting black - and this one is silver.
Second - (a positive but unclear in the listing) the UAL adapter should allow you to connect to most anything (LCD, Plasma) provided you are within weight limitations, etc. The UAL bracket itself is wide - and allows you to move the brackets in and out (while forcing you to be centered!) As far as vertical spacing of the mount - you have two sets of slotted bars. One set is much taller for very large TV's. The long slots in the bars allow considerable adjustment.
That said - it is unlikely you would need to buy a seperate bracket made to fit your specific TV.
Third (a negative) - so many things are done very well in the mount - however there is no graceful way of routing your wires and cables from behind the mount - to the front where you run them thru the cantilever arms - OTHER THAN CUTTING OR DRILLING the plastic insert!
If you are careful and somewhat handy - you can gently cut your holes in the inserts and they are not very visible behind everything with the TV pushed back. This short coming just seems so out-of-character considering the design quality of the rest of the mount (and the cost).
Lastly (my bad) - I mounted a 42" TV on this (a 42" in right in the middle of the bracket ratings between a smaller one and this size) because I wanted to make sure it was solid and secure. I now wish I would have gone smaller - mostly due to difficulty / stiffness pulling the TV out - turning, etc. - and putting it back.
This heavy duty mount is more tuned for a bigger / heavier TV - and I suspect a lessor mount would be more manageable when it comes to moving it in and out.

its pretty good, but the price is probably the best. i found this exact same product at an ABT store for 480 (not including tax). so this saved me a lot of money, but it probably would have been simpler if i bought it from them because they would have installed it. like every constructive item, its difficult to install, but just because everything else is difficult like it, is no excuse for not getting 4 stars.
pros:
1. holds up to around 200 pounds (i use it for a 115 pound aquos sharp LCD hdtv television).
2. cheaper online
3. tilts up, down, left, right.
cons:
1. hard to install
2. big and heavy (find a really big and strong place to put it for support)
overall, it really depends on what you like. if you like life a little more simple, and money doesn't apply to you, buy it from the store, but if your looking for a budget buy and you know what your doing, then buy it online. but this product is really flexible and not that hard to move (but has SOME resistance). highly recommended for big tv's (45"-65")

I used the Omnimount Wishbone wall mount for a 46" Samsung LCD TV. The installation directions were concise and easy to follow. The included accessories were plentiful and well organized. The added sample mount cutout was extremely useful. I did have a couple of problems with the design of the wishbone mount. The wall bracket is easy to install but lacks the flexibility for irregular stud locations. The wall-bracket mounting holes were designed for very specific stud locations. If you want to center your TV on a wall, you better hope your studs are spaced evenly on the wall. The bracket does not give you must flexibility of movement. The Omnimount wants you to hide your cables in the bracket arms. There is not enough room in the arms to place all the cables, especially if you are using component, multiple coax, or expecting use more than one accessory device with your tv. The joints are a little stiff and make movement difficult when initially installing the tv. But, these joints could be adjusted for ease of use. Amazon did a good job packaging and delivering the product. I am very satisfied with this product.

I purchased this unit after extensive research. This unit is superior or equivalent to the units I found in high end electronics stores for $600 to $800. The engineering is incredible. I am so pleased with this unit. The manufacturer provides an extensive portfolio of hardware to meet any installation needs of the adapater plate or the unit to the wall. This unit was very easy to install. Two people are definitely required to hold the unit to the wall when bolting it up and also when lifting the Plasma onto the stand. A template is provided. A person installing this unit needs a tape measure, level, drill, 5/16" bit, and stud finder...six 5/16" bolts into the studs and the installation is complete (again, all hardware is provided). I saved myself $300.00 by buying this unit online. I purchased my unit from Dependable Resource. I purchase online often and this was truly the best online experience I've ever had. Highly recommend the Omnimount and the seller.

My husband purchased this wall mount for our 50" plasma. We have a little smaller plasma on a stand but wanted to try a wall mount for a bigger tv in the family room. It holds the tv beautifully and supports the weight even when it is completely telescoped off the wall. It swivels left and right, tilts up and down and allows for great viewing angle from virtually anywhere in the house (if one has an open floor plan).
We downloaded the instructions off the manufacturer's website, as the ones that were included were not too clear (to us). Instructions on the website were great: more detailed, had clear pictures and explanations. The only difficulty we encountered was with our studs. The mount of course must be drilled into two studs. However, if one is in Florida and is in a newly built home, he or she will quickly find out that studs in the non-load bearing walls are hollow metal and not wood. We did not risk using the bolts included in the set of hardware and purchased at a local Home Depot store a HILTI 3/8" x 2-1/2" Toggler Brand Toggle Bolt - it worked great and we telescope the tv as far as the mount allows all the time.

I bought this wall mount for my 42" Plasma TV. Its probably one of the best one's out there because of the multi-functional viewing options.
It goes left and right, it tilts up and down, and pulls straight out for closer viewing. This product is made real strong and if mounted corrected in the studs,
it won't be falling off your wall. The unit is heavy, but you need the good construction to hold your TV in place.
I recommend anyone that has a 40" or more TV to use this multi-function wall mount made by OMNIMOUNT. Excellent product but little expensive.
I paid $340.00 from Ritz Camera thru Amazon site, it was the cheapest merchant out there and offered free delivery. Delivery was made as promised and in excellent condition.

If you are considering this mount, then you should buy it. It works exactly like you think. In, out, left, right, tilt forward, back... yep.
I weight 200 lbs, and I extended the mount to the full 28" extension and it held me just fine. I am using a 52" LCD that weighs 97 lbs, so it's great.
Installation is very easy. I don't know how people could spend more than maybe 30 minutes doing this. You just drill 6 pilot holes for the lag bolts into the studs, which need to be 16" on center, which any standard home is. Then, you mount the back plate to the wall. If you hit your studs right, you've done the hard part. Then you just screw in the cantilever arm and that part is done. Put the bracket on the back of your TV, and then you just hang it on the arm and tighten the bolts.
It's extremely simple and easy to do. This is a top-shelf product.

Good, sturdy mount although perhaps overkill for my TV. The cardboard drill template is helpful for locating the holes. The four lag bolts will hold the mount securely to the wall studs. You will have plenty of leftover mounting hardware. It does take at least two people to mount the TV to the bracket.

Absolutely the best mount you could buy for a plasma TV. I installed this myself with the new Pioneer Elite 150FD 60" plasma and it holds the 145 pounds quite well. It is rated to 200. You need a couple friends just to put the TV on the mount due to the weight and you need someone free to tighten the allen bolts down.
Whatever you do don't buy this in a brick and mortar store. Between Best Buy/Ultimate Electronics/Circuit City, they wanted $610.00 in the store. way too much. I bought it on Amazon for $225.00. Only $50.00 more than a tilt mount in a store. I luckily had the chance to return the tilt mount since there is no way I could hide my DirectTV receiver and wireless headphones behind a tilt mount other than to make a pocket in the wall. This is a much easier approach.
If you want to hide items such as a receiver/dvd/headphones this is an easy way to do it and still have access to the items. I have installed a tilt mount and it is a pain in the a** to wire. This makes it so much easier to get access behind the TV. The outlex openings are sized for a duplex box and I can get all the phone/2RG6/Electrical I want and still have more room above the mount for a monster power conditioner.
It is about 5 inches away from the wall and everyone says it looks like a piece of art on the wall. Simple and clean. You can see the structure from the side, but I hid everthing on the far side and mounted a 4 inch trophy shelf for my receiver. Works great.
