What a powerful blower!
I wanted to get rid of my Stihl gas-powered blower (took too much maintenance), and thought this might do the trick. Boy, it sure does! I plugged in a 100-foot heavy-duty extension cord (it comes without a cord, which is great--you plug an extension cord directly into the back) and turned it on and was surprised by its power. Excellent Product
When I pulled this tiny blower out of the box I was pretty skeptical that it would get the job done. However, when I plugged it and in turned it on for the 1st time, I had to immediately get a firmer grip on the thing. The power was exceptional. If you looking for a light-weight, powerful, and economical electric blower, this is your choice.

What a powerful blower!, September 27, 2007
This review is from: Weed Eater WEB160 7.5 amp 160 mph Electric Blower (Lawn & Patio)
A very strong stream of air blasted the oak leaves hither and yon. It is light, so you won't get tired lugging it around, and it doesn't deafen you or burn you with exhaust gasses and doesn't pour out vile blue oily smoke like a gas blower. Also you don't have to drain the fuel and run the carburetor dry for storage. Well worth the money.

Leafblower - Weed Eater WEB160, November 7, 2007
This review is from: Weed Eater WEB160 7.5 amp 160 mph Electric Blower (Lawn & Patio)
Maybe not as powerful as gas-powered models but so much lighter and maneuverable that those two factors alone more than make-up for the very slightly weaker air flow. I own a gas model Weed Eater, and except for the few corners of my yard that are too far to be reachable with the extension cords I have, I am now only using this electric blower.
It's powerful enough even to deal with piles of wet leaves and you don't have to worry about refilling its tank and making sure you have both gas and oil to mix. The absence of gas fumes is also another big plus.

absolutely perfect for a desert landscape, March 19, 2007
This review is from: Weed Eater WEB160 7.5 amp 160 mph Electric Blower (Lawn & Patio)
Can't use a comination blower/vacuum on a desert landscape(tiny stones that would be sucked up would destroy the impeller in vacuum mode) and 160mph is quite enough - any faster, it'd blow away the stones.
Wal-mart had the same blower on sale for about the same price(plus tax), but it was rated at 150mph, not the 160mph of the one I bought from Amazon.

Threw away the broom, November 14, 2007
This review is from: Weed Eater WEB160 7.5 amp 160 mph Electric Blower (Lawn & Patio)
Love it. Threw away the outdoor broom and use this for almost anything you can think of - even blowing a ball out of a tree. Wouldn't be without it- use it everyday to cleanup outside area patio

power at a great price, April 25, 2009
This review is from: Weed Eater WEB160 7.5 amp 160 mph Electric Blower (Lawn & Patio)
I was looking for an elecrtric blower that did not cost an arm and a leg. What I got was a blower that exceeded my expectations and was priced right. I use it to clear my deck of leaves, acorns, and small tree branches. It dose the job in minutes with more power than I sometimes need. If I had an issue with is product it would be that it dose not have a power cord.

Update! 05/05/2010 - Reducing Rating down to 1 star.
I pulled the blower out for the first mow of the season and it would not turn on. I stored the blower on a shelf in my garage all winter. In an effort to find out what was wrong, I pulled the thing apart to see if some connections had come loose, but found everything intact. I am very disappointed that I am replacing this blower after only one season of use.

Amazing power - small package, October 5, 2009
This review is from: Weed Eater WEB160 7.5 amp 160 mph Electric Blower (Lawn & Patio)
After giving up on ever getting my 2-year old Troy Bilt gas powered blower to start, I read the reviews and ordered this unit. When I opened the carton, I thought something was missing -- it was so small. However, it has more than enough power, and it's so light, it's almost fun to use!

Weedeater is working good. This is for light work. Don't expect a whole lot of power. It does what my wife needs it for.
