I have had this for about 1 day and have fell in love with it. I have an Epson projector With A VAG splitter built right in, But Just about one month ago it grew week. And every time I had my LCD screen and my projector on at the same time the LCD screen would start to flash. (The frequence was to week.) So insted of sending the projector to miami I got this. Very disappointed in this device...mainly because it degrades the signal quality significantly. It might be of use for Powerpoint displays on multiple small VGA monitors, but it's not suitable at all for HIGH DEF displays. IMO.

5.0 out of 5 stars At Last, July 24, 2007

I have had this for about 1 day and have fell in love with it. I have an Epson projector With A VAG splitter built right in, But Just about one month ago it grew week. And every time I had my LCD screen and my projector on at the same time the LCD screen would start to flash. (The frequence was to week.) So insted of sending the projector to miami I got this. Witch took my one computer VAG signal and split it into two. Now the projector gets one 250 MHz Signal and the 17" LCD screen gets The other. That was one of the most inexpensive Computer Fixes i'v ever done!

There's just one thing you need to know, For the two video OUT ports it uses a Standered Monitor cable(VGA Male to VGA Male.) But For The Video IN you need a monitor extention cable (VGA Male to VGA Female.) Not to worry you can get this at any electronic store and if your looking to save money you can even get it right here on amazon.

I tried several different video splitters - none of them were good. This is a very good product. I am splitting 1280x1024 and no issues at all. Highly recommended.

I needed to split the video signal coming from a PC to a monitor and a video projector so I could conduct training showing the actual application. The StarTech ST112L did the trick although I needed to get a little VGA coupler female/female converter to change the male input to female in order to use standard male/male VGA cables.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great just bought a 2nd one, January 29, 2009

First one is used to drive a CRT and a Hitachi "smart board". The smart board is on a 50 foot cable. Both the CRT and the smart board graphics/video look as expected. And, it is a no brainer to use.
Next application will be to drive an LCD flat panel and a vga projector which is on a 100 ft cable.
