Great gender neutral kitchen, December 27, 2007
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Party Time Kitchen (Toy)
My son got this kitchen from Santa Claus -- and it is by far his favorite toy this Christmas. He has cooked all of us several pots of matchbox car stew and thomas the train soup... everything works and sounds real. An added bonus is that is extremely attractive -- especially for a plastic toy (we normally prefer wood) -- it blends in nicely and isn't overly garish. Another plus is that it is decidedly gender neutral -- not pink like most play kitchens. Boys like to cook too!
My husband helped Santa with putting this together and while it was time consuming it wasn't difficult at all. Even late on Christmas Eve there was no swearing or complaining -- so I know it wasn't a big deal. Also, this isn't as huge as I thought it would be. It is a perfect size -- big enough for two kids but small enough that it doesn't take over the hosue. I would definately recommend this toy... especially if you like matchbox car stew cooked in the microwave.

Not much storage, October 17, 2007
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Party Time Kitchen (Toy)
My daughter likes this kitchen but I was a little disappointed by the small amount of space to store food items. If you have a set of food items and dishware to go along with this product you will need a storage box. Our model came with some food, plates, cups, and pots and we also bought another small set of food which fit, but the pot we bought is too large for this set. You may want to wait until you see it before ordering any extra stuff to go along with it. This kitchen also does not have a "dishwasher" which I didn't realize at first.
Straightforward to put together, durable and attractive. The microwave, stove and phone make cute (not obnoxious) noises and beeps.
update: If your child gets excited and spills or pours actual water/milk/juice on the stove, it'll not only ruin the "stove" but probably get nasty and moldy underneath if you don't discover this right away. You can take it out and clean it but the "burner" will be ruined.

Great kitchen set with great details!, December 29, 2007
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Party Time Kitchen (Toy)
We received this in time for Christmas for our two year old. My husband put it together in about an hour on Christmas Eve. The kitchen set is adorable, and very detailed! It's got everything you'll need to play the first time around: the plates, the spices, the forks and spoons... saves you from having to buy it separately. THe appliances are very cute and most have sounds on them that are not annoying. When reviewing for purchase, I had misunderstood when it states that it has three sides to it. i somehow thought one could play with it from the back, and then a third side. Must be the Christmas mush brain that confused me. It's really just one side with the sides acting as a 'counter'. We also thought that it was a little small in size for the price. No complaints, as the size is actually perfect for our home -and the details make up for the size, but it was a thought we had about it. Definitely a great purchase and would recommend it.

Check your packaging...., December 25, 2007
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Party Time Kitchen (Toy)
Although we were very happy with this kitchen set for our daughter's Christmas present, I wish I had opened the box weeks before Christmas instead of waiting til Christmas Eve to put it together.
We were missing 12 screws, 2 condiment bottles, plates and silverware.

Mom of 4, August 22, 2008
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Party Time Kitchen (Toy)
I have a 4 year old girl, twin 6 year old girls and a 9 year old boy and this is the only toy that brings them together. Theres not a LOT of counter space, but one kid cuts wooden food, the other cooks, the other sets the table and another will get the baby dolls into their high chairs and bibs. It's a great toy, durable and very tolerable sounds, even when the kids just keep going and going...it was very much worth the money although i hated putting it together. and you will spend 20 bucks on batteries.

Love it so far!, July 28, 2009
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Party Time Kitchen (Toy)
We got this for my son's 2 year birthday. I (Mom) put it together by myself with only a multi tool screwdriver. I highly recommend getting your husband to do it, and use a power drill. It is not complicated to put together, but difficult manually. My son loves the phone, microwave, and especially the "working" burner. We did get a basket to put some fruits and veggies in, cause there isn't much storage. Little boxes and cans and the dishes fit nicely. But the fruits and veggies are a little big for the two baskets. I'm glad we got this one instead of the "custom" which is smaller with less counter. After shopping around, we actually got this at Toys R Us locally for $40 less. Worth checking out. Seems really sturdy and will hopefully be enjoyed by my twins newborns in the future as well.

Smaller than we thought, but still a GREAT kitchen!, February 9, 2008
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Party Time Kitchen (Toy)
It was smaller than we thought when we started putting it together, but the kids still love it! It was fairly easy to put together, but it does take about an hour. It has realistic stickers to give the appliances more detail and the microwave even has buttons to push and sound effects. The little baskets are very cute and durable as well.

Great fun for my toddler and her friends!, August 28, 2010
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Party Time Kitchen (Toy)
My husband and I purchased this kitchen for our daughter's second birthday it was such a big hit! We put it together the night before her party and she was SO excited! We had a friend and her (also 2 year old) son staying with us for her party, and he loved it too! It's great pretend play. Now that she's almost 3 she still loves 'cooking' like mommy, and 'making dinner' etc. She plays with it everday.
It was fairly easy to assemble. My only critique is that the plastic was a bit warped/bent; white 'spice rack' as well as the actual top half. So my husband had to use a drill to actually screw the pieces in tightly and securely. But it wasn't that bad. I would purchase it again and recommend it. I've had my nieces and nephews over (ages 4-8) and they really enjoy it too!

My kids love it!, August 13, 2010
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Party Time Kitchen (Toy)
This kitchen is great! It has been very durable (which is great because we move a lot with the military) and is a lot of fun! It has buttons to push and turn which my kids enjoy. Some of the kitchens we looked at had only stickers for knobs and keypads, etc. So I was really happy that this one did not. The burner, phone, and microwave also make sounds. The accessories that came with it were great! We are so happy with this purchase!

Winner for Best Birthday Gift, February 17, 2010
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Party Time Kitchen (Toy)
My husband and I debated for a long time which Kitchen set to get our daughter. We didn't want her to get something that was nicer then our real kitchen. My husband put it together the night before her birthday. It took an hour. I helped with the stickers. The next morning when our two-year-old saw it, her eyes got large, and she said, "Oooooooo stuuufff."
The kitchen has lots of accessories, she loves to play with. All the drawers open and it has plenty of realistic sound effects.
I was worried it was going to take up too much space, but it fits nicely in the corner of our kitchen.
If there was one fault of this entire toy is that the bowls do not fit in the slot in the cabinet. Besides that very minor issue, this toy is perfect.
