My 14-month-old Loves It!
We just got this in the mail two days ago and my son loves it. My son was so excited and wanted to get on it before I even had it put together. It's a very cool and innovative idea. It's very easy to assemble as long as you have a screwdriver. I think my son is tall for his age but he is still on his toes unless he has shoes on. He has fallen a couple times when he's not...

My 18 mo. old was to big/rough for this.
This Zebra is adorable and a great gift for little ones, but not oversized, rough'n'tumble tots like my son. We bought this for him for Christmas when he was 18 months old and it seemed like he was to big for it. He's a tall tot and he plays rough for such a little guy, and when he got on this thing it took a beating. When he bounced on it the thing bottomed out...

My daughter first saw this toy at her daycare and loved it right away. (So did many of the other children at her daycare, the line to play is always long) We decided she'd like one for home so she got it as a gift for her 1st birthday.
Like other reviewers have said she was so excited that she wanted to ride on it while I was putting it together. She plays with it everyday and even her 4 year old sister loves to play with her. The 4 year old is too big too ride it, but she loves to stand behind her sister and push on the zebra's sneakers to help my 1 year old bounce.
At 1, my daughter's feet barely touch the floor so to make it bounce she either needs her sisters help or she bounces her butt in the seat (not using her feet). The only problem with her bouncing in the seat is the toy tends to slide forward with each bounce. But even with it sliding it has never tipped and with the extra wide base I don't think that it will be a problem.
She can get off the zebra with no problem (which is adorable to watch) but getting back on she needs a little boost. With the way kids grow though I'm sure she'll be able to do it on her own real soon.
This is a great toy to grow with. My good friend's son, who is 2, has one and still plays with his all the time. My 4 year old daughter would LOVE to ride on it, but she's close to the weight limit so we won't let her. But that says a lot for how fun the toy is when its appealing from age 1 to age 4.
The songs the toy plays are cute, and it also makes som galloping and horse breathing noises that are really funny. It has 2 volume levels to chose from which is also nice. The barrel in the front has beads that spin around and lights that flash. My 1 year old loves that part just as much as the bouncing.
I highly recommened this toy!

We bought this for our baby's first birthday. It has been three months now and she has used it every single day!! Once she learned to get on it (she figured it out the first day) - she was riding away. It is also very amusing to watch, so everyone is entertained with this toy. When I looked at the box - I was worried about it tipping, but that has not happened and I do not see how it could. The base is heavy and wide, yet it does not take up alot of room. If you have a baby who is very active - I highly recommend this Zebra.

I wanted a fun and unique ride-type toy for my granddaughter's first birthday. I watched the video of this toy at Fisher Price's website, then came here to read the reviews. My granddaughter loves the toy but she is only 12 months old and this toy will be better once she gets about 14-16 months old as she needs assistance mounting the zebra but she gets off it just fine. The box states it's for 12-36 months old children. The base is very sturdy and the music that plays is not annoying at all. The zebra occasionally makes a "wheeee" sound like a horse. My granddaughter is intrigued by the lights and beads on top the zebra's head. Great toy, simply adorable and with pleasant sounds and music, great price and everyone thinks I spent alot more that $39 for it! Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

My fifteen month son loves his newest toy. He climbs all over it and bounces all day. Well, not really all day but he loves to bounce. This is a great toy for all little ones. My son loves to play outside and with the weather getting colder in the Pittsburgh PA area, this is a great toy for him to burn energy on and stay active. I would highly recommend it to all.

I am happy with this toy. My son loves to bounce so I got him a jumperoo when he was an infant. Now he is 1 and still enjoys the jumperoo but I like the zebra because it is something he can get on and of off himself. He is a little small for his age group but mastered getting on and off of it in a couple of weeks growth.
I like it. The music is cute and it does make music when it bounces (the other reviewer's was probably defective). Because his toes barely touch the base, yes I do have to bend over to bounce it for him which he loves but he is also happy to bounce on it himself even though that is not as effective as when I do it.
I know that parents are looking for the one toy that is going to capture their kid's attention for more than 5 minutes and this toy is not it. An activity center might do it but this isn't that kind of toy. And as all kids are different, you're always taking the chance that your kid will ignore it but my son likes to bounce and that is what made me buy it. I got it for 40 which I thought was reasonable.
Bottom line: It makes very cute sounds, does need some parent interaction/supervision until they grow into it and by that time they may grow out of it. But I have it in my son's playroom and he gets on and off it a few times each day.
He doesn't bounce for hours at a time but he genuinely enjoys it when he does. Also, he puts other toys on the seat and tries to make them bounce. Happy with my purchase.

He's a tall tot and he plays rough for such a little guy, and when he got on this thing it took a beating. When he bounced on it the thing bottomed out everytime, I thought for sure he was gonna brake it. It did however hold up to the abuse. He lost interest in it very fast, I think party because he's to big and it didn't bounce the way it should. We decided to give it to his cousin, she's the same age but much more petite and gentle so it worked out better for her.

My daughter received this as a gift on her first birthday and she loves it. She can get on and off with no help and has the best time bouncing around. The toy is extremely well made and has lots of safety features so that your toddler can play by themselves. The toy is almost impossible to tip over thanks to the ultra durable base and the Zebra itself is made so that it cannot swivel unless there is weight on it. Therefore your child can stand and hold on to the Zebra and get on without the animal moving. Then when the child is on he can bounce and turn as much as he likes.
My daughter LOVES, LOVES, the toy. It is the best gift for a one year old!

My 18 month son loves this toy! He has no problems getting on and off or staying on the zebra. The zebra is also very easy to spin. I only gave it four stars because it took him several weeks to learn how to make it bounce, but even before he could make it bounce, he still loved being on it. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews for this toy. I think it is a very original toy that does exactly what it claims. Maybe some parents are buying it for children that are too young, and a child that is not within the recommended age group may not be able to enjoy the toy because of their height.

If your child likes rocking and climbing, this toy is for him/her!
Putting the zebra together was a cinch and took less than 5 minutes. For once batteries were INCLUDED!
When my 15 month old son saw it, he immediately climbed into the seat and began discovering what it could do. He continues to play with this toy multiple times per day... sometimes by rolling the rattle; sometimes by turning the two animal toys on the side (either of these actions makes special noises). Also he loves that the rattle lights up! And best of all, it has an OFF/soft/loud switch that his little fingers can't turn, but are easy for me to move. In the off position, he still has fun rocking up and down.
Another great benefit of this toy, is that when the child is not sitting on it, the zebra is locked and does not turn or bounce, allowing the child to get on with ease (and decreasing the chance of falling). So when my son grabs the orange handle to get on, it doesn't move. Once he is sitting on the zebra, the animal can move up and down, and also can turn 360 degrees. I have had no issues with tipping and my son has not fallen off of it even one time (he is 15months old).
Lastly, I was surprised how tiny the box was; it packs really small once the first child outgrows it! Unfortunately, it does not fold up for storage between uses... and does take up some space (though well worth it).
