Fantastic product, but has a specific market, April 20, 2008

The Littmann 2161 is an excellent stethoscope. Heart tones are clear and well-defined, pulmonary sounds come through clearly. I especially like the tunable diaphragm, which allows you to hear throughout the range of frequencies.
Many practitioners and technicians will find this stethoscope to be overkill for their scope of practice. I recommend this scope for practitioners, and for technicians who regularly make independent decisions and interventions for patients suffering from severe trauma or cardiopulmonary compromise. This is not designed to be a BP scope. If BP is the only skill you use a stethoscope for, then don't buy this scope.

You just can't beat a Littman for quality sound & the cardiology is even better!, September 17, 2009
This is my 6th stethoscope, with only one not being a littmann. I don't know how anyone can truly hear breath sounds or heart tones at an adequate level with the cheaper stethoscopes out there. I've tried those of my friends and there is a significant difference in the volume, quality and tone of what you can hear.
I have the neo, pedi, standard adult with bell, "cheapie" version littmann adult w/o bell and now this cardiology littmann scope. I can honestly say I do hear heart tones significantly better with this than with my other adult stethoscopes. It's worth the investment!

Wonderful Stethoscope, May 3, 2009
I am a nursing student, with a lot of nurses in my family. All of them gave me stethoscopes. I struggled to hear until I bought this one for myself. Now I hear heart murmurs that get by the docs.

Very good product, March 17, 2008
This Littmann Master Cardiology is great, I can hear anything with it. I received it brand new, in box. The only problem was the lack of information about the delivery, so I had to find out, by myself, that it was in the post office, waiting for me to pay a tax and pick it up. And I was expecting the product to be delivered at my home. This was the only inconvenience.But I recomend it anyway.

This stethoscope is wonderful for any practitioner. Assessing heart sounds and lung sounds accurately has never been so easy!

Excellent Stethoscope, December 18, 2009
Excellent stethoscope. I have owned several.
Don't bother with the engraved ID tags which you have to buy then pay to send back to have engraved (can't be done anywhere else). I have paid and utilized this service twice and never received the engraved tags. Just get the stethoscope and put your ID on it some other way.

Littmann Master Cardiology, August 2, 2010
Amazon delivered the stethoscope in a timely manner. This is my second one and they are the best. I thought about ordering a newer electronic model however, the bell on the Master Cardiology works great as a reflex hammer.

got to have it, July 12, 2010
The doctor I work for he previously had the same stethoscope but it broke I have no idea how that happen. Well he told me to please find him another one but the same one for an affordable price because for his specialty he really liked this one.
