Cool guitar!
This this is awesome. They had everything I needed to set up the guitar, connect it to the amp, tune it and start jamming! Its great for the garage jamming session. I love the glossy black color; looks great. Produces a vibrant sound. It comes with a 10 Watt amp. The amp is small but has good output. Loud enough to annoy the neighbors:-). I recommend it. Thums up!

A real piece of junk
Don't waste your money as the guitar would not tune. Contacted seller Austin Bazaar and they sent me a RMA but will not reimburse the $18.85 shipping to return the item. Bought this for my grandson and my son who has been playing guitars for 20 years could not tune this junk. Also, still waiting for credit for full cost of this so-called merchandise. Have filed a...

A decent guitar., April 6, 2007
This review is from: Austin Bazaar Black Electric Guitar with 10 Watt Amp - Beginner Kit
I bought this guitar for my 9 year old son. It is a good guitar for a younger person who is not sure if they are serious about it. It is not a high quality but you are not paying for high quality. It is well made though and should last for as long as you need it to.

Great starter guitar for the price, May 10, 2008
This review is from: Austin Bazaar Black Electric Guitar with 10 Watt Amp - Beginner Kit
To be frank, this guitar is perfect for those wanting to start learning how to play. It ships very quickly, much quicker than I expected, it sounds great, and the amp is quite powerful for it's small size.
For the advanced guitar players though, you might want to buy a better quality guitar, as there's not a lot you can do with this one but learn and feel like you're a professional, even when you're not.
5/5 stars, quick to ship, great quality for the price.

Great Guitar!, August 6, 2009
This review is from: Austin Bazaar Black Electric Guitar with 10 Watt Amp - Beginner Kit
This is a fantastic guitar kit. It's a very good quality guitar and easy to play. I found the strings a little bit tougher to press down when compared to other guitars. I loved the amp, it's small and lightweight but very loud, especially when you turn on the overdrive. And another thing, it shipped very quickly, amazon estimated a week, but it got here within 3 days of placing my order. I recommend you start with this guitar.

Good Beginner Set, March 18, 2010
This review is from: Austin Bazaar Black Electric Guitar with 10 Watt Amp - Beginner Kit
My son actually purchased this item himself. He loves playing and had an acoustic to start with. It is a decent starter guitar and the little amplifier makes it easy to carry around.

Fantastin for Beginers!, December 29, 2008
This review is from: Austin Bazaar Black Electric Guitar with 10 Watt Amp - Beginner Kit
This is great for exploring the guitar and if you are not sure about dedicating yourself to it. I had to restring it when i got it because the strings were alittle streched out and did not stay tunned for long. The amp is not great though. I got it a a few years ago and picked it up quickly. As I got better I replaced the amp but the guitar is still works great. Although, The wammy bar is terrible to say the least. It is much harder to push down and i dont even use the thing anymore. As i got better i played other, more expensive guitars and i noticed that the strings on this guitar are much harder to press down and it may discourage new players if they cant learn it easily, but i had no problem with it. Overall a great buy and i still use it today.

Great Beginners Package Deal, June 13, 2010
This review is from: Austin Bazaar Black Electric Guitar with 10 Watt Amp - Beginner Kit
I bought this for my nine year old granddaughter. When I had a professional base guitarist tune it for me I was informed that I'd purchased quite a good deal considering what I'd paid and that this quitar would do quite well for a beginner player. I've seen the exact same quitar sets for twice the price in stores, a few even highter than that. Now the real pricey part is going to be all of those lessons I'm going to have to pay for so that she can be the "rock star" that she now dreams of rather than the "doctor" that her grandmother wants her to become.

Bought this for my grandson and my son who has been playing guitars for 20 years could not tune this junk. Also, still waiting for credit for full cost of this so-called merchandise. Have filed a claim with Amazon under their A-Z program but heard nothing so far. This is a big headache and suggest you not buy this item and save yourself from the trouble. I can only hope since I am a regular customer that Amazon will honor my claim and reimburse me the $18.85. Will update everyone later after this is resolved. Can't believe any of the good reviews and wonder what those folks were smoking or if they ever played even a half-way decent beginners guitar. The price should have warned me but...

Cheap, December 4, 2009
This review is from: Austin Bazaar Black Electric Guitar with 10 Watt Amp - Beginner Kit
Bought this a couple of years ago for my son (age 5 at the time). It's heavy and cheaply made. When he was actually ready for lessons, the instructor couldn't get it to tune correctly. I am not a guitar player, so I cannot describe what was wrong, but something about the bridge and neck that would need some work in order to get it in playing shape. I wound up buying a Fender starter that was more, but so far worth it....
