I have two antique Martins, a dread and a 000, and this soft case is perfect for both. I won't put them in a case that doesn't protect them but I also live a few blocks from one of the venues I play at as well as doing sidewalk performances and need a lightweight enough case to travel by foot. This case passes all my requirements. They do make a smaller case but the 000 doesn't fit and, while this is a dread case, the 000 fits nicely without movement.

The inside is soft and fuzzy and molded to fit the instrument just like a hard case. It closes with two zippers, one from each side that meet at the handle and are secured with a velcro flap.

The case has two pockets, one big enough for a set list notebook and another with netting and zippers on both sides that can carry a small fold up music stand. There's also a roomy inside compartment that's bigger than most hard cases have.

I'd have given it five stars except the straps that come with it aren't the best. The good thing is that they're clipped on to rings attached to the case so that I can easily replace them with better padded straps. Another plus, the rings are placed so that with the straps over my shoulders the top of the case just reaches the back of my head. (Some gig bag/soft cases stand much higher and are hard to go through doorways with besides looking kind of weird.)

I wouldn't take it on an airplane or put it in a bus compartment but for personal travel, it's perfect. If you're looking for a guitar case that also acts as a gig bag with shoulder straps, this is the case for you.

I've seen other reviews stating that these Gator GL cases are great for local cartage, light travel etc. In my opinion that's underrating these cases. They offer excellent protection, and they are super lightweight. I have 2 of them, and my only complaint is that the straps are of lesser quality than the rest of the case... and that the mesh pocket tends to snag on things and will eventually tear. (I snipped mine out when it got ragged.) -- HOWEVER, these are very MINOR issues. The GL cases are EXTRAORDINARY PROTECTION FOR PRICE. -- I have a Gibson J200--an expensive guitar that I treasure, and I travel constantly with it in one of these GL cases. I carry it on board as often as possible when I fly, but on rare occasion I have to check it, and I don't sweat it when I do. -- Because the J200 is a heavy, jumbo guitar I replaced the straps with softer, padded straps from an old case I no longer use. (BTW I used a stencil I bought online to spray FRAGILE & breaking glass symbol on both sides of the case in neon yellow.) I also added some fruit crate foam inside the case around the headstock to cushion the headstock against potential drops. But I have done this with every case I've owned--and you should too!! -- A little while back I bought a GL case for a new dreadnought I'd purchased, and I found I had no need to replace the straps... because with the lighter guitar they are adequately comfortable. -- My point is that THESE CASES ARE EXCELLENT AT ANY PRICE. -- I used to carry my guitars only in expensive, heavy, custom made cases, but those cases were serious overkill protection. -- I have flown J200 and newer dreadnought back and forth to Europe in my GL cases, and I've dragged my J200 around the country in one for 3+ years. It's stll holding up GREAT! The GL case series is an OUTSTANDING VALUE--and a much better, tougher case than you'd imagine from what's generally billed as a soft-hard hybrid.

I like everything about this guitar case. It is very lightweight, yet sturdy. It is a perfect fit for my Seagull S6.
It was one of the few cases with inside case measurements listed in the description. This helped me determine the right fit for my guitar. I looked at many cases on several websites and am very happy with my choice.
The inside of the case is very plush and it has a small compartment for pics and capo. There is a larger zippered pocket on the outside. The zipper of the case closes tightly and there is a velcro colsure by the handle for extra protection. I also like the shoulder straps.
I use the case to get back and forth to lessons and maybe to a friends' house every once in a while.

After many tries, including, tric case, seagull logo gig bag and others, this is the one. The best quality of them all, delighted. Well made, light enough. Good purchase.

I got this guitar case earlier this month after researching on what is a good case I would need that will last awhile and protect the guitar securely. After reading some not so pleasant reviews on the Seagull own guitar cases, I looked some more and read online that Gator makes very solid guitar cases. I look on their website and saw mostly positive ratings on this particular guitar case. I have a Seagull S6 Original Acoustic and went ahead and purchase the case on Amazon, and it fits my guitar PERFECTLY. I am just beginning to learn the guitar and glad that my first and probably only guitar case I will need is very well made and easy to handle. Just going over this case, I could see the manufactures take great pride on these cases they make. This case is worth every last dollar. I highly recommend this case for the Seagull S6 Original Acoustic and other Acoustic guitars. I cannot say enough how great this case really is.

Great case. Brought a travel guitar from NYC to South Africa on mission. I know it's not an air travel case, but (per one of the other reviews on here) I decided to chance it anyway. It performed extremely well. The case has been in the overheads, placed with the attendants, and even stowed with the normal baggage (yikes). The case (and more importantly, the guitar) came out of all of this perfectly unscathed. As if that wasn't enough, it's been back and forth through South Africa - through dust, rain, thrown in the back of pickups, sat on, dropped, kicked, and even mobbed by cute but not-very-careful kids. This thing is seriously great. Buy it.

PS - Accommodates non-dreadnought guitars as well. Have put a T5 /w foam backing and 314ce in there as well.

I bought this case because my boyfriend has one exactly like it. He has just returned from a year long deployment to afghanistan where we shipped his guitar back home from there in just this case with the address taped to it to arrive back here in the states. The case held up perfectly having traveled accross the world. The guitar is in perfect condition after the trip and the case is still holding up extremely well. So THIS is the case I wanted for my guitar as well seeing the wonderful performance of his. It is furry inside and hugs my guitar, has a nice little spot for my tuner and pics and some other important items as well as a roomy outside spot to hold more essentials. I highly recommend this, it is worth every penny!!! Five stars.....10 stars if I could rate it that way!!!

This AMAZING case is fully protective. The removable straps are handy to carry this nice light case. Also it has a pocket in the front so you can carry your books or your binders. I would recomend this item to anyone who is looking for a nice guitar case!

I purchased this case for my boyfriend's Seagull S-6. As other reviewers have noted, it fits that guitar perfectly. I'm impressed with the overall quality of the case, and it's a great value for the money.

Love it! No more worries over bumping, scratches, and no more "Mom, come get my guitar cause I am on my bike". This is a durable, dual carry option bag.
