Freddie the Firefly
My neice is about 6 months old and she loves this toy. We clip it to her jumper (large clip included) so we don't have to pick it up if she drops it. It keeps her enthralled. She's in the chewing stage so she chews it and it makes crinkley noises so it's a great attraction for her. The little squeaky ball on it is intriguing to her too but she's really not strong enough...

Freddie the Firefly vs. Tucker the Turtle for a newborn
I have both the firefly and the turtle. Both have pros and cons. I prefer the turtle because of the large mirror on his belly. My newborn has been fascinated with this since she was a month old. The firefly mirror on the wing is too small to interest her even though she is now 3 months old. However, the tangling teether from the firefly should come in handy in another...

Freddie the Firefly, August 2, 2007
This review is from: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly (Toy)
My neice is about 6 months old and she loves this toy. We clip it to her jumper (large clip included) so we don't have to pick it up if she drops it. It keeps her enthralled. She's in the chewing stage so she chews it and it makes crinkley noises so it's a great attraction for her. The little squeaky ball on it is intriguing to her too but she's really not strong enough to squeeze it herself--someone else needs to squeeze it and it does get her attention. It's a wondrful interactive toy for her age group.

Great, portable toy!, December 21, 2007
This review is from: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly (Toy)
This is one of my son's favorite toys. He first started paying attention to it at about 2 months, mostly because of the bright colors, I think. He's now nearly 5 months old, and he enjoys grasping it so it crinkles, chewing on the attached bug and rings, a and looking at himself in the mirrored wing. The toy is small enough to take in the diaper bag, and the included clip is really handy with the infant seat and stroller. This is a great toy for infants, and you can really see changes in the way they play with it as their motor skills develop.

Freddie - A Great Baby Toy, November 7, 2007
This review is from: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly (Toy)
Freddie became my baby's favorite toy when he was about 2 months, now he is 6 and he still LOVES this "fly" (as we call Freddie). It is great for touching and feeling, chewing and playing all sorts of games. It is easy to hook on to anything, stroller, bouncer, high chair or car seat and I washed it with soap and water and it looks great. One of our best "investments".

Freddie the Firefly vs. Tucker the Turtle for a newborn, July 2, 2009
This review is from: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly (Toy)
I have both the firefly and the turtle. Both have pros and cons. I prefer the turtle because of the large mirror on his belly. My newborn has been fascinated with this since she was a month old. The firefly mirror on the wing is too small to interest her even though she is now 3 months old. However, the tangling teether from the firefly should come in handy in another month or two. If you were to buy only one Lamaze for a newborn, I recommend the turtle for its nice size mirror.

Great but..., July 20, 2008
This review is from: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly (Toy)
My 5 month old son loves this but with a week or so the red thing that hangs down came loose and could have choked him to death. Other than that, good product.

Love this toy!, October 27, 2007
This review is from: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly (Toy)
I bought this for my 4 month old son. He has loved this toy from the time he got it. He especially likes that he can hold on to the rings on the bottom of the firefly with one hand and the link on the top with the other. He also loves staring at the black and white patterns on the back. I bought another one recently in a local store. I have one hanging from his infant seat and the other hanging from a gym on the floor.

Cute Toy, September 9, 2007
This review is from: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly (Toy)
I bought this for my daughter before she was 2 months old. She stared and stared at it the first time I showed it to her. She loves to look at the colors on his wings and the back of his wings are black and white patterns, also very eye catching. Can't wait until she starts reaching out for him! One thing I like is he's small enough to toss in the diaper bag, too, but big enough to capture her attention. Very cute toy, but I probably would not buy any more of the Lamaze animal toys because of other reviews I have read that say they are all pretty much the same, so if you have one, you have them all.

Great toy for babies, January 1, 2007
This review is from: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly (Toy)
I have bought Freddie when my daughter was born. She has started to seem interested in it at about 3 months old, and really played with it after 4 months old. It's a pretty big toy for the hands of a baby that's why i think they enjoy it better when they have control over their hands and are able to grab properly. Highly recommended.

Hey, if Emma loves this, you will love it, too!, June 11, 2008
This review is from: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly (Toy)
This is a great toy with lots of funny textures to touch (and chew on!)
Lamaze Freddie the Firefly became even more popular when Emma's manual desterity allowed her to get a better grip on him. That funny "rustling" sound he makes is a hoot!
This toy is very well designed to hold a baby's attention and stimulate play!

Great toy, November 21, 2007
This review is from: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly (Toy)
This toy is adorable and eye-catching - my four-month old son loves it! The wings make crinkly noises and there is a squeaker on one wing. This is just an all-around great toy for a little one - brightly colored and fun for them to grab and play with.
