5.0 out of 5 stars Great for carrying my Forerunner and accessories
This case is well designed for carrying my Garmin Forerunner 305 and heart rate monitor. Plus there is room for my ipod, armband, and miscellaneous other items.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great, October 8, 2007

I bought this carrying case together with a Garmin Forerunner 305 and the bag is a convenient way to store and carry the unit and the heart rate monitor. You can get all the accessories in there if you want, it will be a bit cramped but still OK. The case consists of two compartments, on in each "lid". The case is a general design made to fit several Garmin products with the consequence that it is not optimal for any product. It is difficult to pack the heart rate monitor without bending it at the sensors. This is the only real drawback except for that it is a little bit bulky.

This case is well designed for carrying my Garmin Forerunner 305 and heart rate monitor. Plus there is room for my ipod, armband, and miscellaneous other items.

The case is a semi rigid "clamshell that offers much more protection than a simple nylon carrying case. It opens in half, and each half has a mesh to hold items in place. There are ventilation holes in the top and both sides, so you don't have to worry about a "gym locker" smell building up. There is a single zipper that easily closes the case.

Unlike other reviews, I don't find the space to be cramped. I put my Forerunner in one half, and the heart rate monitor in the other half, and still have room in each half for other items. Because of the mesh holding the Forerunner in place, there is absolutely no worry about scratching the face of the Forerunner.

Although the heart rate monitor does have to be folded a bit, this does it no harm.

The case does not have a carry handle or strap except for a small finger strap at one end, but odds are you will be carrying this in a gym bag or some other bag, so a finger strap is all that you really need.

I like that this case is reasonably compact, yet roomy enough to hold other items that I use together with my Forerunner. I have tried other kinds of cases, and like the protection and design of this case the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits the need..., March 2, 2008

Everything fits fine in the Case... the only item that fails to fit is the Manual. By Placing the Forerunner on one side facing in even with the long wristband, and on the other side placing the power adapter at one end and winding the USB connector/charger cable in the center, and the base and plug attachment (AC) at the other end, all fit fine, of course all of which go behind the mesh that holds everything in when you open it. The item has many ventilation holes on one side and that is for the Forerunner to let moisture dissipate, excessive moisture will malfunction the Forerunner... Happy Trails

5.0 out of 5 stars Garmin Forerunner carry case, April 10, 2007

Perfect for transport/traveling with my Garmin Forerunner. Search for a good price as I paid $ 22.00 and also saw it priced over $ 40.00 at numerous locations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just perfect!!, March 4, 2010

This item holds all of my Forerunner 405cx perfect. I have the straps for small wrists for my watch, so watch fits in very comfortably. It can carry the charger, clip, watch, heart monitor strap and probably a few other small items. I thought I was a great deal for the price, considering the same item is $30 on the Garmin website. If you spend the money for a Forerunner... might as well buy a carry case and keep it safe!!!

I have a Garmin Edge 705 and this is the only case that Garmin lists for it. You could easily fit four Edge 705's in it, maybe more. It's too short to hold the HRM strap without sharply bending the sensor part (probably not a good idea). I don't see how this case is a good idea. I can throw a number of other random things in there but this is really not what I was looking for in a case for my 705.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing Special Nothing Bad, September 8, 2009

This is about what I expected based on the reviews. It's nothing special but it does what I need it to do. I did have my Edge 705 get turned on somehow while in the case and I typically careful about closing it and making sure it's not hitting anything else. I wish there was a better way to secure the actual GPS in this. What would be great would be a case that has a molded foam that the GPS could sit in and that had specific compartments for the other items. I'm thinking this cost about $2 to manufacture so the $25 + that most pay is hard to swallow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes doing life much simpler., January 21, 2009
This review is from: Garmin GPS Carrying Case, Black (Accessory)
Great! It is so nice to be able to keep everything in one spot. This is a very durable and well thought out product. I really like how each side has its own mesh pocket so everything stays in its place when opened and is easily viewed without having to dig around.

I have the forerunner 405, heart rate monitor, and foot pod. I was hoping the case would be large enough to carry these along with my charger. They all fit, but it is very cramped. The case isn't quite long enough for the heart rate monitor, so it needs to be folded a bit to fit it in. On the positive side, the case is very solid and well made.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best fit for the Forerunner 405/405cx, June 30, 2010

I bought this case to carry/protect a Forerunner 405cx while traveling and specifically to protect the watch from accidental button pushes which would bring it out of power saving mode and discharge the battery. This case achieves that goal only if the watch is carefully positioned in the case. While everything fits (watch, charger, Ant Stick, chest strap, foot pod), the chest strap must be somewhat uncomfortably contorted to fit. The watch is also a tight fit (with the standard band-not the velcro one) which is actually a good thing because it holds the watch rigid helping to prevent the buttons from being pushed. The case has a semi-rigid clamshell design with an elastic mesh webbing on each side that holds stuff in on either half. Not a perfect solution for the 405 or 405cx but it works. So far I have not opened it to find a dead battery but I would have rated it higher if it had a dedicated compartment for the watch that would protect the buttons.
