This was a replacement after 5 years of heavy use. It has a number of pluses: 1) A cover that stays closed until you are ready to open it, 2) a larger screen, 3) bigger keys, 4) Decidely durable whether in pocket or purse. Prior to finding this calculator, I was replacing them about every 6 months. Out of a max of 5 stars, I give it a 6.

I purchased this for the few times when I need a calculator at home. I like the flip lid, and the fact that it is solar and battery powered. The keys are very easy too use, as are the function keys. The display is large and easy to read. If you want a good calculator for a reasonable price, this is a great choice.

Perfect size for pocket, click-in-place flip lid, auto-off, CE key, large easy-to-read numerals. Unbelievably low price for an excellent product. Solid construction.
Best of all, has very convenient one-screw battery replacement door on back for G10 (LR1130, SR1130) battery, without having to remove entire cover. All you need is a small watchmaker-size Phillips screw driver. So easy even a cave man can do it.

I purchased this calculator to replace an old Texas Instruments solar calculator I had been using for many years. This calculator definitely accomplished that. I know that when I look at a review I want to immediately see the good, the bad, and the ugly, so that is how I will write this.
good
1.the read out screen can be adjusted to any angle you like to eliminate glare
2.the solar panel is situated to the left and underneath the read out screen so you should get continuous solar power.
3. the readout is clear and larger than normal, which is good if your eyes are tired like mine
4. You can close the calculator to protect the screen from scratching on things in you purse or pocket and take it with you
5. you can't beat the price
THERE IS NO BAD SO FAR

This possibly is the best buy on the market. The calculator is compact in size. Will fit in your pocket, pocketbook, or briefcase with ease. The keys are a nice size and makes it easy to crunch numbers without making mistakes entering the numbers. The screen has a large display thats easy to read, all at a price that is hard to pass up. If you are looking for a compact pocket calculator this is the one to get.

This folding calculator is great for my needs which are balancing my check book and paying bills. I have macular degeneration and seeing details are difficult. The size of the numerals on the display make things much easier for me. I also like the fact that it folds closed and takes up less space than my other ones did.

This compact calculator is a good choice if you want to use a calculator for simple day to day calculations.
It's slim and portable. The folding ability provides protection, but it's also nice because you can angle the display to your liking. You can lay it down while using it, however, the design actually allows for comfortable 2-handed use.
The keys are big and soft, and have a nice arrangement on the calculator.. but I think I would have actually prefered a harder set of keys. The soft keys do not allow your fingers to smoothly slide over them which makes using unit just a tad bit cumbersome.

This Calculator, has a sleek, slim lined design, and it's tough exterior, keeps it from getting squished in ones pocket, shirt pocket better than pants pocket. It's economical (cheap), but has all the wonderful functions, y'know, plus, minus, sign, co sign, uh, counter sign. You can still write 77345, turn it upside down and read "shell". It is also green, with a mini solar power strip. What fun. If your on the go, this really is a calculating accessory that will redefine your personal paradigm in regard to the technological industry of our times. (my old one broke) Thanx.
(See aren't my one line, or one word responses better? This really is a great tool btw.) (btw = 3 words)
Has instruction booklet too, Wow, unfortunately I have to use a rubber band to keep it closed.
