Farewell Motorola H500, you won't be missed.
Searching for the perfect Bluetooth headset is akin, I think to some people, the search for the Holy Grail. I don't believe there is ever going to be a Bluetooth headset that is "perfect". It will be, and should be, the "right fit" for the person using.
Pros:
* Sound quality. Now I can hear and those I'm speaking to can hear.
* Speech clarity...

You get what you pay for, August 27, 2007
This review is from: Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset , Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Value: The price on this headset is great. I got it for $30 but its price is rapidly dropping on Amazon as well as their marketplace sellers.
Comfort: The headset is comfortable for a few minutes, but extended use is a bit irritating. It fits my ear but is by no means one-size-fits-all. The plastic hook is bendable, though, so it's as accommodating as can be expected.
Earpiece: Sound quality is good as long as you're within a meter of the phone. However, in a car, road noise makes the headset difficult to hear even on the highest volume setting. Turning up the volume also worsens the echo problem, see below.
Microphone: Like all microphones on headsets like this, it is very sensitive. It picks up anything near you very well, including other people. Use in crowded rooms is not recommended. In addition, with the earpiece volume turned up high, callers often complained of echoing, though I could not hear any myself.
Reception: When further away than one meter, or when there are objects (such as a wall) in the way, static becomes a MAJOR issue. Sometimes there's static even right next to the phone, but this is rare.
Features: Not many to speak of. Pairing was simple and the single button interacts with the voice dialing feature on my phone (though I should note that the feature does not work unless I speak very loudly, which makes it impossible to use in public). However, misplaced button presses will call back the last person called on my phone, which makes storing the headset in a pocket while turned on a bad idea.
Overall, I'm going to stick with the headset but I can't whole-heartedly recommend it to others due to its various problems.

* Speech clarity. Quality with a Samsung Synce is excellent.
* Sensitive microphone. Be careful what you say or do because the people on the other side will hear it. I'm just saying.
* Size. It is tiny. But I've also got a big head so most look tiny to me.
* Price ($33 from Amazon as of this review).
* Adjustable. The ear hook is party bendable allowing customization to your ear.
Cons:
* Sensitive microphone. See above. Picks up road noise in the car especially if your car is loud (not really the fault of the headset but worth mentioning).
* Size (again I've got big ears and haven't quite got it right).
* Cheap feel.
While I haven't found my Holy Grail Bluetooth I have definitely stepped in the right direction ahead of my previous Motorola H500 both in clarity and quality. For the price above you'll be hard pressed to find a Bluetooth solution that has the sound quality and size for the price.

GREAT HEADSET FOR QUALITY, COMFORT, & 1ST TIME BLUETOOTH USER, January 2, 2007
This review is from: Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset , Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I originally bought the Jabra BT250v b/c it has gotten a lot of awards and it is behind the ear instead of over the ear (a.k.a. more discreet). However, I am a petite woman and it was simply too big for my ear. I am very pleased with this Jabra BT125 - it is over the ear but quite small and the arm that goes behind my ear is bendable and hence fits snugly yet comfortably. Pairing it with my Samsung SCH-a870 was easy & fast. I can hear the person I am talking to very clearly and he/she cannot even tell I am using a headset. At half the cost of other leading high quality wireless headsets, I say this is a no brainer!

Mostly good., January 9, 2007
This review is from: Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset , Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
It's got good sound quality for most calls; calls, however, from a stairwell are echoey because of the microphone's sensitivity (which one would expect from any bluetooth mic). I also had a bit of trouble using it with Skype on my MacBook. Otherwise, very good and reliable.

Works Great with the PS3, December 24, 2008
This review is from: Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset , Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have 2 PlayStation 3 (60GB) and was using with limited success a PlayStation 3 Logitech Vantage USB Headset. My first Blu-Tooth for the PS3 I tried was the Motorola H300 - Headset ( over-the-ear ) - wireless - Bluetooth, a most uncomfortable torture device that no one could hear me with. I decided to try the Jabra which Sony had shipped with one of its games. It fits and works GREAT! Very adjustable and soft. No problems synching or having to resynch like other headsets. I can hear everyone and everyone can hear me. The only thing is that the charge probably lasts 5 hours on the PS3, so I bought a second. I have been using them for a few months, still working great.
EDIT: The ear clip has broken. Now, I have 2 that of these that I rotate on the charger and have not used them hardly at all for months so be aware of this issue with even light use. You can find clips but they are relatively expensive. I found 2 clips and they were almost half the price of this Bluetooth new. Also, when I contacted support at Jabra I got no reply so be aware of Jabra's customer "support".

Improved, February 23, 2007
This review is from: Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset , Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
2/2007: Nice configuration, good sound (especially for the $), but mechanically very POOR. Plastic construction feels cheap. After 1 month of careful, normal use, cracks developed in the housing (at the small screws that hold it together) and the adjustable ear hook has split almost in 2 at the interface between the hard plastic and the flexible material. Even at $40, no excuse for this. Buy something sturdy.
11/2007 update: retailer replaced the broken one & Jabra provided several spare ear hooks. Been using for 9 months (being only a little more careful), no further problems. Maybe the 1st one was just infant mortality or an early bad lot.

Indestructable headset?, February 13, 2008
This review is from: Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset , Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The voice quality and noise filtering on this little headset were mediocre, but the price and small size were certainly right. Overall a good starter headset.
That said - I'm blown away by the resilience of this thing.
Accidentally ran it through the washer and dryer - full settings. And it still works. Not sure about the battery life as it seemed to fully charge too quickly. But it pairs, and the audio works just as well before the cleaning.
I wouldn't recommend the spin cycle for your headset - but I think this does say something for the quality of the product.

Works flawlessly., March 10, 2008
This review is from: Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset , Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This headseat works great with my PS3. My previous one had problems staying connected, but the BT125 automatically connects with the system when both are turned on. Audio, receiving and sending, is clear and I've had no problems with others understanding what I say.

Great entry level setup, September 1, 2007
This review is from: Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset , Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I got the headset free with Warhawk for PS3 (GREAT GAME)and decided to use it with my BT phone. I'm a truck driver and I need my hands free to do my job. When I first received the phone I pulled it out and inspected its quality. Its what you would expect from an entry level phone as far as quality of materials. After inspecting the build I attempted to connect it to some devices around the house. The phone took no time to communicate with my PS3 and BT phone.
The next day I decided to wear the phone the entire time at work. The phone is very light and easily forgotten after you get acquainted with its feel. On occasion it felt as though it was not securely placed in my ear. With a few adjustments to the hook you can fix this.
Most of the controls are done via the one button on the side. You can see what mode you are using by associating different tasks with different blinking lights (provided by an LED within the phone). The phone also makes beeeping noises in your ear when answering, hanging up, or dialing a call automatically. Yes, the phone will even dial the last number you received in your phone by pressing the main button.
I recieved complaints from my wife that she could here conversations from nearby people and background noise. The worst case scenario I had to step into a quite area. This is no different from using my regular cell phone. It doesn't help I work in crowded grocery stores. The majority of the time I could move up and down the aisles freely and talk. The voice of the caller in your ear is clear and can be adjusted using the volume button (I usually used the one on my cell). The phone charges easily via a usb cable that comes with it. I find the cable to be a little short so I'm using the one that was packed with my digital camera.
Overall the quality was better than I expected. I got this headset for free and I found it was perfect for me until I can get something a little more high end. My only complaint is that I wanted to stream my music from my phone into the ear piece. It turns out not all BT headsets have this feature. Other than that I could not recommend a better bare bones BT headset for the price tag. If you are willing to deal with its quirks, buy it! (Review UPDATE) Although Is till like this headset overall (I now have a Motorola that doesn't come close) I am disappointed to say the Jabra is no longer with me. The wire loop that goes around the ear snapped from too much bending and adjusting (much like a paper clip would if you bent it over time). The fact the ear piece was adjustable was a great feature as it hugged my ear but if bent at the same point over and over again it eventually breaks. Thus is the law of physics and now my ear piece is impractical. It is still my favorite and lasted me around 8 months so I can recommend it. Just don't over work it too much (it can be fragile).

Works great with PS3...., August 30, 2007
This review is from: Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset , Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought this specifically for use with the PS3. All I had to do was charge it up, turn it on, go under accessories in the PS3, and it found it right away.
Now it turns out that they are giving this away free with the purchase of Warhawk. Oh, well pretty good deal on Amazon as well.
