Excellent Markers with Excellent Storage
My kids ages 8 and 4 use these markers almost daily-I've had the set for about 2 months now. The markers work great and are still vibrant. I love the storage container which telescopes up when in use. It's a well organized system. I'd definitely buy it again.

Dry out easily
We liked these little markers and the telescoping storage container is nice, but some of the markers were dried out when we recieved them. The others seemed to dry out pretty quikly as well.

great, easy to use storage container!, June 6, 2007

These markers are great! The only concern is that they are stored upright and that seems to make them dry out. After repeated use, this seems to rectify itself. The container is great! Easy to carry around and keep all of the markers together!

Almost tickled pink, April 25, 2008
This review is from: Crayola 50ct Telescoping Pipsqueaks Tower (Toy)
I bought these markers for my 4-year-old. She loves the smaller size. We also had fun reading the clever color names. My only complaint is that the telescoping function of the holder does not lock sufficiently into place, so she was constantly frustrated by it collapsing anytime she put a marker away or got a new one out. Other than that, a fun, well-used product.

Wasn't real easy for my 5 year old to use. She had trouble taking the markers in and out. Did like the markers color choices and size

My 2 year old loves these washable markers. Keyword: washable. They're nice and small and brightly pigmented. Perfect!

Frustrating, May 28, 2010

Great idea and lots of good colors, but it doesn't lock in place for long and it's hard to get locked in the first place. My five-year-old is constantly asking for help. Version 2.0 is needed!

Frustrating to use, January 7, 2010
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Crayola 50ct Telescoping Pipsqueaks Tower (Toy)
We have tons of Crayola products since my daughter loves art, and I firmly believe they are the best quality brand for crayons, markers and the like. Usually. We are disappointed with this product, however. When the telescoping tower is extended, you just barely have to touch it, and it falls down and bangs shut. It does not lock into place like you might expect, and just a tap in the wrong direction makes it close back up. This is very frustrating for my four-year-old, and even being very careful, I myself have the same problem when I try to take markers in and out.
The markers themselves seem fine, and for now we're just using this as a plain old storage box since the "telescoping" feature doesn't work well. Definitely a disappointment since this was supposed to be the point of the product.

Big fun for little hands!, July 16, 2009
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Crayola 50ct Telescoping Pipsqueaks Tower (Toy)
My four year old just got this marker set for her birthday. I suggested the Pipsqueaks markers to a family member because of their size. Not too long ago I had read an article that indicated that young children have an easier time learning to write if they are using a shorter writing implement. Since my little one is only willing to write in marker, I thought I was doomed. Then, I discovered a 16 count package of Pipsqueaks in a local store. I had no idea when I suggested these markers as a gift idea for my daughter that they came in a 50 count package.
My girls are in love with the variety of colors that are now at their fingertips. Having 50 colors is obviously a lot more fun than the 16 colors we had previously. My four year old likes that these markers are small, just like her.
The telescoping case is a really nice touch. Since it's clear, it allows my girls to easily find the perfect color for their art work. It's also a great way to keep the markers organized. Before getting this set, we had all of our markers stored in a plastic container where you had to dig to find the color you wanted.
The fact that these markers are washable is enough to make this a wonderful product on it own. I know from past experience that Crayola washable makers wash out of just about everything. Once you discover the joys of washable markers, you'll want to toss all those non-washable markers and probably wonder why they even still make the non-washable ones.

Great Deal!, January 12, 2009
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Crayola 50ct Telescoping Pipsqueaks Tower (Toy)
These were a Christmas present and purchased for just over $8.00...so, for the price it was a great deal. I will say that the "tower" is difficult to lock in place for an adult, never mind a little kid. The color selection is great and the markers work well.
