My Cats Love It
I bought this and my cats haven't gotten out of it since. It does tend to collapse, but I just duct taped a couple wires to the bottom, covering the ends so the cats don't get hurt, and I haven't had problem since.

Maybe my cat just doesn't like red. :-) My Sammy has shown no interest in this product whatsoever. I even added some catnip to get his attention. After the first day of checking it out, he has studiously ignored it ever since. On the upside,this is a well-made product. I like the way it folds up for shipping or storage and it looks like it would hold up to cats pouncing...

Maybe my cat just doesn't like red. :-) My Sammy has shown no interest in this product whatsoever. I even added some catnip to get his attention. After the first day of checking it out, he has studiously ignored it ever since. On the upside,this is a well-made product. I like the way it folds up for shipping or storage and it looks like it would hold up to cats pouncing on it. I plan to pass it on to another cat owning friend to see if his cat finds it more interesting.

Even my finicky cat loves it., September 14, 2008

My super active two year old cat loves this cave/tunnel even after 4 months. She's indoor/outdoor and tends to turn her nose up at most toys, preferring the wonders of nature. She hasn't tired of her *tent* as I call it. She like to sit outside it with her head inside the tunnel and *hide* while she waits for me to throw her a ball, then run through. Very ggod value for the money and quite sturdy. I have been connecting it to a pop-up mesh hamper with a hole cut in the bottom. Now I'm even going to spring for the matching cat cubes.

I bought this product on a whim not long ago. It was cheap and I thought, "Hey, if she doesn't play with it then no big deal - its a cheap buy."
Well, I am very happy to say that impulse buying is not always a bad thing. My cat positively LOVES this thing. Alot of people in the reviews seem to claim that the fact that toy can collapse is a bad thing - Not for my cat. I don't think she'd like it really as much if she couldn't charge inside of the thing and roll it over or pull the sides in as if attacking it.
This simply little product is really a must have for cat owners. It just never seems to get old or dull.

My cat loves this toy and likes to jump inside to hide from me when he's in a playful mood...Then he runs out of the tunnel as fast as he can and jumps on me and then runs and hides again. It's a flimsy little thing and isn't very sturdy so he's constantly knocking it over, but I can't complain too much because he loves it and it keeps him entertained.

BEST TOY EVERY, June 5, 2007

I have four kittens and they love this thing. They play for hours, jumping in and out of the cave. They only thing I have a complaint about is now that they are getting bigger they still think they can jump on the top of the cave and it will stay up but it doesn't I have to pop it back open ten times a day, but they love it and I recommend it highly.

Good but, August 22, 2010

My cats love hiding in this toy despite the fact that it often collapses on them. They don't seem to mind the fact that it is unstable and often falls over during their rough housing. It bothers me though. I haven't yet come up with an effective permanent solution to the problem. Even though the cave often turns into a pancake I will not throw it away. My cats just love it too much for me to do that. The company that makes this product seem to be making an effort to improve their items with each new generation. Hopefully they will do the same with this item.

I have several cats and ALL of them use this. Sometime during the day I hear the "crinkle" noise as one of them plays inside. This is a great item for your feline friends. I highly recommend it.

I see many reviews for the product based off a cats attention to it. Cats lose interest fast! You can't rely on a cat's reaction in order to rate a cat toy or in this case, a cave. :) Most reviews I see overall liked the product, but those who did not - based it on the cat. From what I've read and experienced by owning one for my cat Pixie, the product is made well and folds up nice. There isn't much more to the product itself besides the crinkling noise that may be annoying - which could then be passed as a negative on the product. My cat uses the crinkle cave constantly and she loves it. Her claws get stuck but not much damage to the product which is great! I won't have to purchase a new one for a while the way she "rough-houses" in it. I haven't had any issues with it and agree that it is made well, but I'd rethink those 2 and 3 star ratings as people tend to purchase on the stars without reading all reviews (who has that much time?). One thing I will say is the tunnel section can be a little tight for those larger cats, but I don't see a problem for the majority of medium size (7-10 lb.) out there. I have a plump kitty (12-13 lb) so I keep the tunnel off so she doesn't get stuck (if I'm not home). I believe this is more of a 4-5 star rating (myself giving a 5 because I like it so much), only bringing it down from perfect by a fraction due to the noise it creates. Even still, the name is "Crinkle Cave" - you have to expect noise! I'd advise you leave this in a room away from the bedroom if you're trying to sleep. Cats are nocturnal and if they're into the cave... you will hear it!

Great Toy -- And Not Just for Cats!, April 1, 2009

Recently, I went to visit a friend out of state, and took my rabbits along. My friend had bought a Crinkle Cave for her cats. However, my rabbits effectively stole it the day we arrived, and didn't relinquish the cave until we left. The bunnies loved running in and out, and stomping on the crinkly bottom! They napped in it and pushed it all over the floor. My rabbits loved the Crinkle Cave so much that I bought them one of their own as soon as we got home. The bunnies play with the Crinkle Cave every day; it's one of the best toys I've ever bought for them.
