Poor design...
The structure is not well supported. It continually falls in to the pool. Designated areas for water fill leak.. Not recommended.

I usually don't write reviews, but I notice there aren't many written on this Cool Jam Pro. I purchased mine in 3 years ago. At the time, there were no reviews, but i liked the price and it looked easy to adjust for my 3 boys. Well, three years later it is still going strong (minus the sticker, which fell off after year 1). I leave it outdoors all winter, and it is in perfect working order today. Very durable. Easy to adjust the height. The ball is excellent as well! The price makes it a no-brainer, as it really is a great product. I am considering buying another one, just in case!

I have three active boys who love this! It assembles in seconds and is extremely durable. The only issue we had was the backboard sticker came folded in the box and we were unable to adhere it properly. We left it off and were satisfied with that. It has two different heights that are very easy to adjust. I have not seen any other poolside basketball hoops that are this sturdy and well made. We highly recommend this product.

Backboard and hoop are great, however the ball is very lightweight and thin, actually the ball popped within a week of use so we decided to use a regular basketball and a water polo ball (which works just fine). Has provided much entertainment for the entire family.

This is a great toy for all ages. Does come with a soft inflatable basketball. Just minor compliants. I took special care to apply the sticker on the backboard - but is already wrinkling afer a month of use. Plugs to the side walls do not stay in but this does not effect the use of the toy. A little weary about the strength of the plastic where the net attaches, already a bit loose.

The Super -Wide 44" Jam Pro Poolside Basketball. I purchased this to replace a Lifetime one that rusted out in three years. Its made of the same material that a "tiny tike's" one I had for 15 plus years was made out of. Still in service at my old house. I took no chances on the only metal pieces(the hoop and bracket)-I put 4 coats of rustoleum on them right out of the box -just as a precaution. I discarded the decal-without it it looks like the $600. one. Can't go wrong -great buy!!

Was pretty simple to assemble. We decided not to put the sticker on since we knew it would just fade in the sun. The orange color paint on net rim is already faded after just a few weeks out in the sun. Product seems sturdy overall and well priced (from Brookstone). It is prety large and takes up a fair amount of space though - and is not easily moved once positioned. The kids are enjoying playing with it and it is holding up well so far. We plan to take it indoors for the winter. Our dog punctured the basketball that came with the net on the first day so we purchased several larger size pool basketballs at our local pool store that work well.

My son has never been one that loves to swim in our pool, but since I bought this basketball goal, he loves it. The rest of the family has enjoyed it as well. We play all kinds of different games on it. It went together in five minutes and hasn't given us any problems. We don't allow the kids to dunk it too hard because we're afraid they would hurt themselves on our pool deck, so I can't vouch for durability on dunking. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and I will purchase it again if mine ever breaks.

Great pool hoop set, May 6, 2010

This hoop is well built and solid. Easy assembly means you'll be playing hoops in the pool shortly after it arrives. It's rather light weight so you'll definitely have to fill the base up with water to keep it from moving around. Even with the base full it's still light enough to slide out of place when it's not being used, but heavy enough for some spirited games. It adjusts to two heights, so it can be fun for both the little kids and the big ones like me!
