I bought a pair of these speakers to go in the rear of my 1988 pontiac fiero. I hooked them up to my Alpine CDA 9884 (it's a 4 ohm stereo) and they sounded great. However, after only ten minutes or so at a reasonable volume level the stereo overheated. Everything i've read about these speakers claims that a 4 ohm amplifier can run them, but my experience indicates...

I bought a pair of these speakers to go in the rear of my 1988 pontiac fiero. I hooked them up to my Alpine CDA 9884 (it's a 4 ohm stereo) and they sounded great. Everything i've read about these speakers claims that a 4 ohm amplifier can run them, but my experience indicates otherwise.

Bottom line: Don't expect these to work with a 4 ohm stereo. Infinity loses two stars for lying to me.

These are installed inside the back doors of my Chevy pickup truck. The sound is clear and they match well with the Infinity component speakers in the front doors. Very clear sound with good base, no problem dealing with high volume listening.

I would not suggest anyone buy these speakers. If you like loud music, don't buy these!! No bass response at all. Also, they are made of plastic. I am very dissappointed Infinity manufacter such poor quality.
