The best crayons we ever had.
These crayons are triangular, so little kids can handle them a lot easier than the round ones. They feel more like plastic than the usual wax material, making them somewhat erasable. They are extremely well made in China by a company that manufactures arts and crafts for kids (Artrain Industrial Ltd. from Hong Kong). The box we purchased from Amazon contains 24 colors and...

Breaks too easily!!
We thought that these crayons would hold up to our rambunctious toddler. The color was solid and not feathery like other non-toxic crayons. However, they weren't very sturdy. A couple fell off the table and broke in half immediately.

The box we purchased from Amazon contains 24 colors and they come in a hard plastic case with a transparent lid that helps the kids keep them organized. They are marketed in the USA by the toy company "Melissa & Doug". These crayons are non-toxic, non-roll and stronger than regular crayons, our family highly recommends them.

Consider getting this for your kid's going back to school!, July 4, 2009
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Melissa & Doug Triangular Crayons - 24 pack (Toy)
1. The triangular shape means that the crayons don't roll off the table.
2. The triangular shape ALSO helps young children grip the crayon properly.
3. The lack of wrappers means the crayons are easier to sharpen, and you don't catch the kids peeling the wrappers off for the heck of it.
4. The colors are clear and bright, not like knock-off crayons.
5. The container makes it easier for young children to get JUST the crayon they want without spilling them all on the ground.
6. These are the most durable crayons in existence. They're, like, unbreakable. It's not the shape - Crayola triangle crayons break too. I don't know what it is.

Great set of crayons, December 16, 2008
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Melissa & Doug Triangular Crayons - 24 pack (Toy)
I purchased two sets of these crayons. Overall, I'm very pleased with them.
What I like:
No wrappers!!
They are more durable than normal crayons. My kids have broken some but nowhere near as fast as they normally do. The shape and thickness helps distribute the pressue better.
The triangular shape keeps them on the table and off of the floor.
The color variety is brilliant. The set offers a better variety of hues than average crayons.
They are easier to clean off of surfaces.
What I'm not crazy about:
The smell. I can't stand the way these smell. It's not offensive, just not pleasant. My kids could care less.
The case is difficult for smaller children to open. This can be a pro though because my kids can't get into them when I'm not nearby and this puts a damper on any wall coloring plans.
Although I like that there are no wrappers, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish some of the darker shades.
Overall I give this 5-stars and I will purchase these again.

These are great. We gave them to our niece and she easily grips them. Best of all, they don't constantly roll off the table, they stay where she puts them. Highly recommended!!

Easy for tiny fingers to hold. Hard to break great colors...no paper for kids to peel off the crayons and make a mess either.

These crayons were a great find. I like that there are no paper lables for the children to peel off. I also like that they are triangular shaped so they do not roll off of the desk. I highly recommend this seller and this product.

Best Childrens Crayons Ever!, October 1, 2009
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Melissa & Doug Triangular Crayons - 24 pack (Toy)
We have been using them for about 3 weeks 5 days a week (Home School) and she has not broken a single one. She had previously broken over half of her (made in China) round ones and torn the box up trying to make the broken and whole pieces fit back in. Bright colors and as always the great quality I have come to expect from all Melissa and Doug products. M&D have done it once again!!!

Sturdy, Nice Colors, April 30, 2009
This review is from: Melissa & Doug Triangular Crayons - 24 pack (Toy)
This set has pretty colors and good color saturation (you don't have to press hard to get rich color) in comparison to some other brands. I like the red case, and will try to reuse it as much as possible to make this a more environmentally friendly purchase.

Great tool for little hands, March 5, 2009
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Melissa & Doug Triangular Crayons - 24 pack (Toy)
I highly recommend these crayons for young children learning to draw. My two year old son has Down syndrome and he is learning to grasp and draw lines/circles. These triangular crayons are easy for him to hold and they are so colorful(especially without the paper cover most crayons have). My 3 year old daughters who have preferred markers also love using these crayons.

Yeah, hard as a rock and no more roll, March 4, 2009
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Melissa & Doug Triangular Crayons - 24 pack (Toy)
My little girl loves her crayons. Toddlers love to bang stuff and hopefully these will hold up to her stress test. Crayola's get broken in about 1-2 days. We got these so that she wouldn't have to keep getting up from the table every time a crayon rolled off.
Anyway, I thought they would be larger but sometimes good things come in small packages. Like are little ones. :>
