Hours of Fun
For my son's 3rd birthday we gave him this parking garage. He loves cars and I was concerned whether hot wheels type cars would fit on the ramp and couldn't find that information anywhere. You can see in the picture that there is a divider in the ramp...however most hot wheels cars do roll down it nicely. It's large enough that two or more children can play with it...

Not Up To Little People Standards
I was very disappointed in this toy. The ramp constantly comes off, there is no place to put the gas nozzle when you are not using it, and the cars come off the ramp on the side instead of the front. I am used to the old version which was much better. The old one had a helicopter pad and helicopter, an elevator for the people as well as one for the cars and the ramp...

You can see in the picture that there is a divider in the ramp...however most hot wheels cars do roll down it nicely. It's large enough that two or more children can play with it together and stay busy! We found it at Wal-Mart for about the price posted on Amazon. I had the "old school" version of this garage as a kid and it was sturdier. I don't get why modern has to mean weaker, but we're happy with this toy anyway. You have to assemble it and "snap" many parts together but it also uses screws which was important to us because my son enjoys disassembling (snapping) and breaking his toys. I know, that's awful.

I was very disappointed in this toy. The ramp constantly comes off, there is no place to put the gas nozzle when you are not using it, and the cars come off the ramp on the side instead of the front. I am used to the old version which was much better. The old one had a helicopter pad and helicopter, an elevator for the people as well as one for the cars and the ramp ended in the front of the garage which is much better than the side. Also on the new version, when the cars get off the elevator on the second floor, their is no access to the ramp. I expected more from Little People's because I enjoy their other toys. I just don't know why they changed the design. The old garage was much better.

My 11-month-old loves this toy., September 27, 2007
Durability: Fun: Educational:

... even though I, the mother, do not like the look of the toy. (It looks flimsy and cheap to me.) But it has certainly kept my 11 month old baby busy for a long time, day after day for a couple of months. He experiments by putting many different items through the spiral ramp, examines which items roll down and which do not. When something gets stuck in the middle, he tries to "debug". I think my baby gets a good training in three dimensional spatial modeling through this play. He also likes to drop things into the elevator stall. He them moves up and down the elevator, enjoying the bell sound and the movement. This is definitely one of his favorite toys at the moment.

Fisher Price Garage purchased for our Nursery School Class, October 6, 2007
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Fisher-Price Little People Racin' Ramps Garage (Toy)
I purchased this for our Nursery School class. It came unassembled, so it took some time to put together. The swirling roadway keeps coming apart at the joints & requires repair through the day as it's played with. It's very popular with our children & gets lots of use.

Parking garage, October 24, 2007

I gave this to my grandson for his 2nd birthday. He played with it daily and for a LONG time each day. Kept him happy and busy. He tried to push all types of vehicles down the ramp. If they didn't go, he just parked them for later use. Very sturdy product which should last for several years.

I would not park in this garage..., November 23, 2009
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Fisher-Price Little People Racin' Ramps Garage (Toy)
...because if I did, there would be no guarantee that I'd be able to leave! This garage is a death trap for some plastic little people and a house of horrors for others. The architect of this little monstrosity must have been high on its own Chinese made plastic fumes. The support column is reminiscent of the leaning tower of Pisa and the ramp does not align flush at the top level. There is no access to the ramp from the second floor, which isn't so much of a problem when the elevator works. That is to say, when the elevator isn't busy jamming before suddenly accelerating upward or downward, thus pancaking or launching it's occupants. The ramp is especially dangerous at the second level, as its clearance is undoubtedly not at the minimum legal height. Not for towing and occupied vehicle, anyway. A severe decapitation hazard is present here.
A fairly frustrating assembly experience, for parents, coupled with an occasional frustrating playing experience for kids, and a nightmare for most plastic little people, make for a fairly average overall experience with this product.

Wish Fisher-Price still made the Big Action Garage, December 16, 2007
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Fisher-Price Little People Racin' Ramps Garage (Toy)
Compared to the Big Action Garage, which I had for my other two children, this was a let down. We bought the Big Action Garage after my daughter (10 years ago) played with it on display at Toys R Us for an hour. It was loved and very durable for a total of 12 years. Unfortunately we do not have it any longer, and looking at the current Fisher Price line up for durable, fun, interactive car play, we regret the decision not to keep the Big Action Garage. The Racin Ramps is flimsy, the pieces do not stay together well. Fisher Price should go back to making the toys that they made earlier, The Big Action Series was well liked and is very sought after. Infact, Fisher Price should go back to making toys "Made in the USA". I definitely appreciate the 12 year old Fisher Price toys I do still have which all proudly say "MADE IN U.S.A."

Great car toy, October 10, 2007
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Fisher-Price Little People Racin' Ramps Garage (Toy)
I bought this for my two year olds birthday. She loves it along with her four year old sister. They play cars for long periods of time. They really enjoy the elevator. They have had no difficulty with it like other reviews stated. The only downfall is the tow truck gets a little annoying and the little blue towed car makes a high pitch noise when you drive it even on carpet. I would have like to have seen a better made towed car. The little blue towed car is not as high of quality as the other Little People cars we have purchased in the past, but the tow truck is great just like the other sets we have purchased. I received the toy a week earlier than planned with free shipping as well. I would definitely recommend this toy for boys or girls just buy additional cars to go with the set since it only comes with two people, one car, and one tow truck.

Not like the old days, February 28, 2008
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Fisher-Price Little People Racin' Ramps Garage (Toy)
The racing ramp was a favorite toy of me and my brothers, so I thought it would be great for my son. Not so much. This version makes little sence. The elevator is hard to use, the ramp functions more on it's own. You can't really imagine you are in a car garage, using every level. My car crazed sone uses it MUCH much less than I thought he would. I'd buy a different car ramp after using this one. It was dissapointing. I'm combing second hand stores looking for the vintage version!

My daughters favorite!, January 14, 2008
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Fisher-Price Little People Racin' Ramps Garage (Toy)
My daughter got several gifts from Santa this year but this one is her favorite. She calls it the "slide" and puts not only the 2 cars it came with it down the ramp, but also regular play cars that we have. She loves the lift and is always asking anyone who comes in our door to "play cars". We have other little people toys and this one is her favorite. The little people we already have fit in the cars. Would definately recommend for a girl or boy. My daugher is 21/2 and is still into little people.
