Caveat Emptor
If you're considering a Karcher electric power washer, you should know that Karcher will not warranty their products unless they're purchased at an "approved outlet." They play this little game by talking about that requirement on their website, but fail to mention that if you buy from eBay or anyone else they consider "not authorized," you get no warranty whatsoever...

Perfect for home use, November 26, 2007
This review is from: Karcher K 5.93 M 1,850 psi 1.5 gpm Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
Pros:
I was looking for something to clean the brick pavers in the backyard and driveway. This thing did the job. The vario wand it comes with made my backyard look like new after 3 hours of work. It cleaned thoroughly without the need of detergents (even though I bought it).
*Comes with a 'safety' so kids can't pull the trigger.
*Only sprays when you pull the trigger.
*Be careful with the vario wand....it stripped paint off of wood fencing.
*Super easy assembly and operation. I mean easy.
*Cords were long enough to leave the main unit in one end of the backyard while I walked around with the wand. 25' Wand cord and even longer electric cord.
*Wasn't noisy at all. I thought I would need earplugs but the noise it produces it definitely easy to deal with. No neighbors complained or even peeped out to see what was happeninig. A benefit of electric I guess.
*Got it at Lowes though. Needed it asap.
Cons:
*Needs a way to keep trigger depressed to alleviate hand strain.
*Wheels only roll on rough surfaces. A bit clunky rotating.
*Hard to screw in water hose. I feel the hose entry port should be easier to access. (It's in the front recessed inside the housing)
*Cord storage could be better. It has a hanger on the front but it just barely accommodates the wand cord and electric cord.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. This is my first pressure washer, btw. The cons are not really a big deal to me. The performance blew me away and overrides the small setbacks.

Caveat Emptor, July 23, 2009

If you're considering a Karcher electric power washer, you should know that Karcher will not warranty their products unless they're purchased at an "approved outlet." They play this little game by talking about that requirement on their website, but fail to mention that if you buy from eBay or anyone else they consider "not authorized," you get no warranty whatsoever.
I'm out $200 because, as one of the people they have the nerve to call a 'customer care representative' told me, "You should have read the warranty card that came with your product."
When asked how a consumer could accomplish that before purchase, considering the warranty card is inside the box with the washer, she was stumped for an answer. When I asked why they don't disclose on their website that they won't warranty products from unapproved retailers, more silence ensued.
Very disappointing to encounter a high-profile brand with deceptive business practices.

Broken Right Out of the Box, June 20, 2009
This review is from: Karcher K 5.93 M 1,850 psi 1.5 gpm Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
Broken in at least two ways right out of the box. The box arrived without any damage but the unit had two broken pieces jammed into the unit's housing. The on/off switch and the attachment for the high pressure hose. Where is the quality control in the company that "is associated worldwide with top performance, innovation and quality."

How do I get all this time back?, June 28, 2009
This review is from: Karcher K 5.93 M 1,850 psi 1.5 gpm Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
i bought this product last summer. i also bought the extension hose that amazon recommended at the time. this hose did not work with the karcher machine to begin with. i put this extension hose aside and used the pressure washer with not major problems about 3 times.
this summer, when i attempted to use the machine again, the moment i turned on the power, the hose was expelled out of the machine because the PLASTIC threads where a bit stripped and there was no way to make it work. and so began the hours and hours of wasted time...
i saw that by using the extension hose (with metal threads) and an adapter (that i had to order and wait for in the mail) i was able to make it work. however, this time it took 2 minutes for the motor to stop working properly. instead of the motor kicking into gear when depressing the water gun, it remained "on" all the time and it made no difference between low power and high power or the mix setting. my warranty expired 2 days ago... what do i do with this $[...] piece of crap now!?

Poor Online service, June 20, 2009
This review is from: Karcher K 5.93 M 1,850 psi 1.5 gpm Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
I have a 1700 PSI unit with a 24-7 replacement sticker. Good luck. I called and was told to call during the week. I write this review only to advise prospective buyers of this company. My unit which is a lesser unit than this is on its fourth season, used for two seasons once and a third twice. At the end of last season it became intermittant and now will not pull soap into it. I kept stored in a garage which does not freeze in the winter. I have used it for several hours each time to wash my single story home and a couple of times to wash my car. I am very disappointed and will not buy another Karcher.

Karcher sucks, June 10, 2009
This review is from: Karcher K 5.93 M 1,850 psi 1.5 gpm Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
Karcher electric pressure washer lasted about 4 residential use. Repair centers listed online fix only gas pressure washers. You can't get service support over the phone and multiple attempts to get support online were unsuccessful. Buy a different brand.

Waste of $260, March 15, 2009
This review is from: Karcher K 5.93 M 1,850 psi 1.5 gpm Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
I have several problems with the unit. The main complaint is the amount of pressure it puts out. I bought the unit to wash my truck and car with. It won't even move the dirt from the side of my truck. It doesn't seem to be anywhere near the 1850psi it claims. I have $20 water hose attachments I bought at Wal Mart that put out more pressure than this thing. 1850psi? More like 18.5psi.
Additional problems I have are the washer bottle attachments. They are almost impossible to snap down. And the waterhose attachment is too hard to get to, or attach a hose to.
Would I buy one of these things again? NO

A piece of junk, May 17, 2009
This review is from: Karcher K 5.93 M 1,850 psi 1.5 gpm Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
I purchased it Amazon it arrived and the soap dispenser function didn't work. I contacted Karcher, they wanted to switch it with a rebuilt one. I bought a brand new machine that was DOA and their solution is to give me a rebuilt model, NOT ACCEPTABLE!
The soap dispenser still doesn't work, and Karcher hasn't done a thing about it. The soap dispensing was the feature I wanted to wash my car and wax it. Without it, the unit is useless. If I have to wash it by hand what is the use of 1800 lbs of rinse water, I just use the garden hose. Karcher sucks

Lousy Company, March 19, 2009
This review is from: Karcher K 5.93 M 1,850 psi 1.5 gpm Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
The unit was delivered with a broken on/off switch. I called Karcher and their only remedy was to send me a rebuilt unit! A rebuilt unit for a brand new unit! I immediately boxed it up and sent it back to Amazon. If that's how they treat all customers I'm surprised they are still in business.

Karcher Pressure Washer #K 5.93 M is a good choice!, February 5, 2009
This review is from: Karcher K 5.93 M 1,850 psi 1.5 gpm Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
I'm a "winter Texan" and used my new Karcher to wash the outside of our mobile. It did a great job. Is it perfect - No. But it is what I expected. Pros: Almost completely assembled and ready to use. Appears to be a quality unit (time will tell for sure). It is easy to work with. Cons: Input water connection is recessed which makes connecting the hose a bit of a chore - and the female hose connector on the machine is made of plastic instead of brass so stripping the threads is a possibility. (I solved both problems by purchasing a "no kink" hose attachment for $6.00 and leave it on the machine) It would be nice if there were some place to wrap the electric cord when not in use.
