My 5 yr old son loves his drums. I taught him to play soft with occasional loud and he just goes to town on the set.
Well built with replaceable heads. They look pretty sharp and it appears that they will last for a long time.

Awesome drum set!, April 28, 2008

We purchased this for our oldest child's 8 year old birthday. He loves it and so do his 2 younger brothers! The sound is great and the drums are well built and sturdy. My boys have drummed hard on the skins and there isn't even a dimple (their friends have too - they all want to play!) Ok and I will admit my husband and I have sat down on the seat (yep it held us) and banged a few jam sessions ourselves. This is great fun and a great starter set for an up and coming drummer. Also, I have had the opportunity to correspond with one of the co-owners of MusicianZone and he is a true rarity, highly professional with a priority based customer focus - a true professional!

This is a well made drum set. I believe this set will last through years of pounding. The seat could be a bit stronger material, but the drums seem quite solid.

"Wow! Thats what my son said when he got it. This is really a great drum set for this aspiring drummer. It even took my breath away. Couldnt ask for anything better. The quality of sound produced also just blows me away. The sturdiness is also awesome. It is also very beautiful. I have put it in its rightful place in my living room. Thanks once again.". Will soon include a video review to show what I mean. It deserves all 5 stars!!!!!

Great Value, Quality Drumset for the Kids, March 30, 2009

The pricing is spot-on for a 5-piece drumset with basic Hi-Hat and one crash Cymbal. We purchased this drumset for 6-yr old nephew who showed some interest in drumming. Drums were shipped from vendor promptly. Everything arrived packed in one box, which was great. The assembly that needed attending to was: putting the heads, rims and legs on the Floor tom and bass drum, and putting the stands together. The snare drum and Toms came assembled. I (Uncle) am a drummer, so it took less than 30 minutes to put together and we were on our way to bashing like crazy. The set is ideal for a kid just starting out.
Now from a drummers perspective: A very smart-looking, quality set, we got the wine sparkle red with black rims. Looks real great! I want one!! You cannot adjust the mounted toms for tilting angle, just a vertical adjustment - it's just mount and go. Snare can be tilted and vertically adjusted just like a basic snare stand should. Snaredrum has internal Snares that can be tightened/loosened with a thumbscrew. Floor tom comes with 3 adjustable legs - great! Bass drum has 2 legs with rubber feet to prevent creeping. Stool has 3 adjustment settings as child gets taller. Heads can be replaced when they've seen enough, which is great. After it was all put together the drums sounded nice and tight. The cymbals are basic. Hi-Hat stand seems sturdy but might creep on the floor with continuous stomping. The Bass drum pedal seems sturdy enough, the beater didn't meet the bass drum parallel to the head, it leaned in a little more, but won't matter to the player. Small-scale sticks are thick and seem quite sturdy. I think one of the floor tom rims, or the shell, wasn't truly round, so there was a wrinkle in one area of the head no matter how tight it was tuned. No bother - it's for a kid!! All in all a great set, great value.

Awesome Set!, October 26, 2009

We bought this set for our 7 and 9 year old and they love it! The quality is great for the price they charge! Even my husband plays these drums. Looks and sounds like a much more expensive set.
