Keeps outside cats warm!
We have an igloo for an outdoor cat who "adopted" us. The insert is the best thing to buy in order to keep an outside cat warm in the winter. If you are thinking about it or worried if an animal will take to it, don't worry at all. Ours went right in and loves it!

Gets barely warm to the touch
I bought the cat igloo with this heating pad for the stray cat I feed. I live in Chicago so it's pretty cold and snowy and I felt sorry for the poor thing. However, this heating pad gets barely warm to the touch; I can hardly tell if it is even on but I do feel just a faint glimmer of heat.
Since this is meant for outdoors - it needs to be warm enough to...

I bought the cat igloo with this heating pad for the stray cat I feed. I live in Chicago so it's pretty cold and snowy and I felt sorry for the poor thing. However, this heating pad gets barely warm to the touch; I can hardly tell if it is even on but I do feel just a faint glimmer of heat.
Since this is meant for outdoors - it needs to be warm enough to compensate for bitter cold.

Great product, January 19, 2009

It's been great for my outdoor stray cat friend who loves to nap in a her dog igloo. The mat is great with the sherpa cover (bought separately) and the cat loves the comfy warmth this heating mat provides. It's just the right size for her igloo home so she can stay on it or stay off.

Only getting the mat, January 14, 2010

Be careful with this page. The "Lectro kennel" is only for the heating mat. NOT for the house too. I guess I assumed that I was getting both when I ordered and when it came I only got the heating mat and had to then order the $63.00 igloo house seperately. The page is deceiving, it looks like you get both and nowhere does it say that the "Lectro Kennel" is just a mat. I have not used it yet as I don't have the igloo. Waiting now for that to come for my outside cats (2).

Misleading picture of item, December 31, 2009

The way this product is shown is very misleading. I thought I was ordering an igloo and a heating pad but when my order arrived I had two heating pads. K&H Igloo-Style Lectro Kennel, Small I'm very disappointed.

This items description is nothing but a rip off. The item desribed and pictured is not what one would expect to be buying as listed. K&H Igloo-Style Lectro Kennel, Small. This describes a KENNEL and pictures a kennel. No where does it say that this is for a heating pad only. I fully thought I was ordering a heated small kennel and not just a pad. This item description is VERY deceiving to say the least. Their other items of this type all have the description of Heating Pad, Not KENNEL.

Works really well., January 14, 2010

I use it in my truck for my chihuahua because the law prevents me from idling to keep the heat on. She loves it, and I'm going to try and talk my wife into getting another one so I can bring the other dog along too.
