This is a great scope it's clear, has good light transmition and it keeps sighted in. Some bad things are it is long and heavy, but it doesn't really matter to much. Hope this helps!

First off, I notice that some of these bad reviews have nothing to do with the scope. I think Amazon had a bar code issue in the warehouse. I too got a different scope on the first go around, but Amazon quickly took care of it. No big deal!

I've had this scope on my Mossberg 500 slug gun for 3 seasons now. I've hunted in rain, freezing rain and snow. The gun and scope have taken many deer, the longest at 125 yards. I've had no issues with the scope at all. It's kept it's zero for 3 years now, even after being bumped numerous times out in the field. I can't ask for much more out of a scope in this price range!

1/4/15- Had another great season with this scope. I fell twice and was convinced that I screwed up my zero on it. I was wrong. It was dead on! Scored 3 more deer this year, the longest at 150 yards.

After 4 seasons, it's time to make a change. Santa brought me a Nikon Slug Hunter scope! So my Tasco will probably go to my Winchester 94 (30/30) This scope will be great on a short range/ brush gun. For a scope under $50...YOU CAN'T BEAT IT!

I own 2 of these scopes and i have them on a 30-30 and a 45-70 respectively....they are crisp, clear, adjust well, hold their zero and are a joy to use....i think that they are the best value for the money in an inexpensive rifle scope i have ever found.....plan to purchase more.....i cannot say enough good things about this particular scope.

This is my second purchase for this product. I was so impressed with the quality and function with the first purchase that I had to have another one. My appeal stems from the size of the scope to the field of view coupled with low cost. I felt that I had nothing to lose on my first purchase and seeing that the function was so sweet I decided to scope my second lever action rifle. I had discussed adding scopes to limited range caliber lever action rifles, with dozens of hunters and enthusiasts and most favored open sights. With a large field of view and the pro shot reticle I feel that I have enhanced my firearms accuracy without seriously diminishing the ability to sight onto my objective.

This scope is as big or bigger than most mid-range 3-9x40mm scopes, with much lower power, but it is surprisingly clear and bright. TO illustrate how clear and bright it is, I'll admit to doing something a little bone-headed.

When I first opened the scope, I reflexively looked through the smaller end. I was a little disappointed at the lack of brightness and how hard it was to see the reticle, but considered it acceptable for the price. Then I realized the image was smaller than reality, and I was looking through the wrong end. When I looked through the right end, I was very pleased with the brightness and sharpness of everything. This scope is so clear and bright that looking through it backwards was comparable to some other scopes in the same price range. The only scopes I've seen with a better image than this are high-end, $800+ models or good fixed-magnification ones.

I also love the reticle. The crosshairs are precise, but the little ring around the center allows for quicker target acquisition than plain crosshairs alone.

That said, be aware this is a very large scope. Apart from the objective lens, it's comparable to a large 3-9x or average 4-12x scope, so don't expect a little tactical scope to put on your AR-15 or SKS. This is intended for slug guns and muzzle-loaders, or maybe dangerous-game bolt-actions. You COULD mount it on a light, handy tactical rifle, and it would do very well, but be prepared for the weight.

I put this scope on my 195 ruger mini 14. Love it. It has some trouble in low light at 200 yards but its not made for that. Otherwise I like the cross hair and would buy it again if it broke. Fits in my system well

Ordered and arrived 3 days later. Exactly what I was expecting. Scope is marketed towards use on a shotgun or muzzle loader, but its about ideal for a 22. It might be a little large but its also not a 'big' scope. Glass appears to be pretty good. I wouldn't compare it with an expensive scope for clarity and light transmission but for the price its good. I haven't technically used it yet, other than mounting it, so I can't vouch for adjustments at this point, but playing with the turrets the adjustments are positive. I rated it 5 stars because I see no issues in which it deserves less. If something changes and it malfunctions I'll be back to update this.

I purchased this scope for a .22 AR. SW 15-22. As others have said it's a big scope, seems to be designed for shotguns and muzzleloaders. The optics are clear and the scope seems well made. It holds zero with no issue on my .22.

This does not have an illuminated reticle as advertised. It's a standard reticle with a circle center. It's a short range scope and the circle is desgined to range estimate deer. It's okj in low light, not great. It does not have multi color reticles either. Just a standard black one. Tasco does make a scope with those features but this isn't it. Seems like the descriptions got mixed up. For the moeny it's a good scope. If it had the other features it would be a great value too.

I purchased the scope in October 2006 and found it to have very good optics, and good durability.

After mounting it on my Marlin 30-30 and firing about ten rounds, the scope was sighted in and stayed

true for all the subsequent rounds that I fired. Recoil did not shake loose the reticle. Not bad for a riflescope that cost less than 50 bucks. I might be leary about mounting it on a hard kicking rifle, though.

Nothing wrong with it at all. I knew what I was buying as it was going on the house .22 that has duties of killing starlings, squirrels at the feeder etc. I was not going to put a $200+ Burris on it and the Tasco World Class isn't a Burris nor pretends to be. A great scope for the money. Nuff said.
