Asus R600 GPS, a marginal device, outdated maps. "C-"
This could have been a great device but it has too many problems:
1. The GPS receiver is weak and constantly barks "GPS Signal too low" even in open areas
2. Bluetooth functionality is not usable. The voice volume and voice quality are both really bad. I even tried to make a call in our super-quiet Lexus and everyone I talked to complained.

Asus is not very well known in this country, but is very well known over sea. Asus has been making quality electronics for years, it makes lap tops, cell phones, mother boards, etc.. So when I saw they had a GPS, I was very excited and had to have one.
Before purchasing the Asus R600 I researched all the available GPS devices to make sure I was making the right decision. What I found was that the R600 was not only a GPS, but also had a video player, Music player and blue tooth I was almost convinced this was the GPS for me.
The GPS performed extremely well, the battery boasts 6 hours on a charge, the sound was crisp and the screen was very easy to see. You can toggle between day and night mode, car or pedestrian mode, it also has a 2D or 3D mode. The device is a little larger then most GPS's in its class, due not only to the 4.3 size screen, but also because the speaker is larger then on most devices and not only does it have a touch screen, you can also control it by a button on the right of the unit.
I found a few products that had similar specs, but also carried a price tag over $500. This unit is priced at the $300 price point and is well worth every penny. If you want a quality product and want a great deal, the Asus R600 is for you.

3. Maps are dated 2007 but are actually much older. Our house is TEN years old and it still shows our house "in the fields"
4. ASUS is too big to respond to questions or issues so don't count on any support.
I bought this GPS at a pawn shop for $125 and thought that it was a real deal. However, after using it, I wish I could return it.

An OK unit. Have owned for nearly a year. Have since purchased a Garmin Nuvi 200 which was a much better buy. I would have rated the Asus 4 stars if it had the ability to navigate to a waypoint (GPS coordinates.) The Garmin is a much better unit at 1/3 the price.
