This one doesn't work too well
I think everyone reacts different to certain products. What works for my sister doesn't work for me. But here's the downside. The original slimquick (the one with the blue stripes on the box and no hoodia) was the one that worked for me. I lost 7 pounds in it.
That slimquick has been discontinued. The one available in shelves now has hoodia and some other different...

NOT FOR ME
I used this for about one week and stopped using it because it gave me stomach aches. It was effective it suppressing my hunger but the stomach pain was too much and not worth it so I stopped. It didn't give me energy but besides the stomach aches I'm sure it could have worked. I don't recommend for people with sensitive stomachs.

That slimquick has been discontinued. The one available in shelves now has hoodia and some other different formula. It's the one with the blue circles in the box. I don't feel this current slimquick works for me. So now I am trying the "extreme" one and see what happens.
I am not overweight. I just want to lose another 10 pounds. Since I had a good experience with the original slimquick, I am hoping the "extreme" one takes care of the last 10 pounds. I'll keep you girls posted.
Oh, if you're caffeine sensitive, don't take this product or do the best you can to drink coffee. I substituted regular coffee for the decaffeinated kind so I can still get the taste.

I agree with some of the other users in their complaints about the upset stomachs from the pills. The same happens to me, but I've been bearing it ok so far.
I am losing weight, but whether the pills are the catalyst, it is difficult to tell. I'm reducing food intake and eating smaller meals throughout the day and exercising 4-5 days a week, so I am losing weight.

I have had three babies in about 2 and half years. Needless to say, I have some extra weight to lose, and once I weaned my youngest I purchased SlimQuick with high hopes. Very disappointing!
I have gone through two whole bottles of this stuff, being careful to eat only 1700 calories a day along with working out every morning 6 days a week and running around after three toddlers. The 4 pounds I've lost thus far, I'm certain, can be contributed to eating well and exercising, NOT to SlimQuick.
Here is my humble opinion in terms of the six claims they make for how women lose weight:
Reduce excess water retention - did not notice one iota of difference; I still get bloated certain times of the month
Balance female hormones - sounds nice, but this did not at all affect my hormones. Besides, the small amount of the juniper berry in the capsules you take every day is not nearly enough to truly affect the body's delicate balance. If you take this supplement for the hormone help, you'll probably be disappointed too.
Reduce stress - seriously, I'm running myself ragged after three little ones all day so I have no idea if this part works or not - I still get stressed. It's part of life right now.
Increase metabolism - uses green tea, which is clinically proven to boost metabolism. How much, with how many fillers, and with what quality is for SlimQuick to know and us to never find out.
Increases energy - using ginseng. I have noticed more energy, as a serving size is equivalent to about 2 cups of coffee. But I could just buy caffeine pills or drink green tea with ginseng if energy is all I'm looking for, and it will cost quite a bit less!
Reduce appetite - it's neither here nor there. I didn't notice a difference, but I eat regular snacks all day anyway.
All in all, not worth the money even though it's cheaper than a lot out there. BTW, you can get a bottle for only $19 at Walmart, and you won't have to pay shipping.

Upset stomach too much for me, July 2, 2008

The first week on one pill was ok, but when I entered the second week where you take two pills, I was throwing up everytime after I took them. After 2 weeks I gave up couldn't take the upset stomach. Not worth it in my opinion. Hydroxycut gave me upset stomach, but I never threw up on it may go back to that.

I have been taking these pills for 2 weeks and I don't believe it's done anything. There's no energy and it doesn't surpress my appetite at all. It hasn't upset my stomach like some of the other reviews.

I have lost 12 inches since starting slim quick almost 5 weeks ago(4 in my hips alone!) The first few days it made me jittery, and it still leaves an unpleasant after taste, but I think it's well worth it! This, like anything else, takes some getting used to, but after the first week or so my body was accepting it just fine (and I have IBS). The only complaint I have is the after taste.

I felt horrible while taking these pills, April 5, 2009

Even though I work out and eat pretty healthy I still wasn't losing weight as fast as I wanted, so I decided to try slimquick. Although it did help right away with water weight, I didn't like the way I felt while I was taking it. Instead of giving me energy it took it away, and if I would miss a dose I would crash for hours. After I finished the first bottle I decided not to buy the stuff again.

I have been using slimquick for 2 weeks now and I lost 7 pounds the first week. I am eating four small healthy meals a day and I excercise about four to five times a week. This product also gives me energy. So far so good, I feel like I am getting smaller and smaller everyday!

I'm just curious if the secret to weight loss with SlimQuick is the severe nausea and inability to keep any nutrition down? I am 131 pounds and purchased a bottle of SlimQuick to help get an extra 5 pounds off. I used Hydroxycut when weight training years ago but was concerned by recent health warnings. I started using this product on Monday, 6/15 and followed the plan according to the booklet. It is now Friday, 6/19. I have suffered from migraines for three day, barely have enough energy to get through the work day, and have been unable to keep anything down for 24 hours. SlimQuick might help me lose weight, but only by giving me the tools need to become anorexic or bullemic.
