Overall Happy With Stroller
I wanted to post a review because when I was researching double jogger strollers, I really appreciated people who left their comments. There are so many out there, it can be a little overwhelming when deciding what to get.
My story is: I have a 3 year old and 15 month old. I just wanted to walk in the neighborhood to get fresh air and get out of the house. I...

Great stroller if it fit through doors... Great outdoor stroller, bad indoor stroller
Hi, I purchased my stroller brand new online about a year ago, it was easy to assemble and I popped my kids in it who were 21 months and 3 months at the time. I could adjust the seat belts easly once I got them through the wooden back (Threading the seatbelts was tough at first but once you do it you wear the groove enough to adjust as needed). My kids love the ride, very...

Overall Happy With Stroller, November 21, 2008
I wanted to post a review because when I was researching double jogger strollers, I really appreciated people who left their comments. There are so many out there, it can be a little overwhelming when deciding what to get.
My story is: I have a 3 year old and 15 month old. I just wanted to walk in the neighborhood to get fresh air and get out of the house. I don't run..just walk...so keep that in mind when reading this review.
What I like about this stroller:
1. LOVE the basket underneath...pleanty of room for diapers, cooler for sippy cups, etc.
2. rides smooth for the kids
3. easy to push, don't feel the weight of the kids at all
4. was easy to assemble. i did need help with the front wheel, which my husband ended up putting on for me.
5. in my price range. i just couldn't bring myself to pay a house mortgage payment for the nicer models..i was seriously considering the BABY JOGGER CITY ELITE TWIN STROLLER but couldn't stomach the almost $500 price tag.
What I am neutral about:
1. parent tray was ok. it does the job but mine came with a netted cup holders. i guess with a double jogger stroller, it's hard to get a hard parent tray.
2. seats for the kids are ok. they probably have enough cushion but it's one of those things where i've read worse and i've read better about other stroller seats.
What I didn't like:
1. the shade cover doesn't quite do the job, but you can buy another shade cover to go on top of it. i really wanted a stroller that had 2 seperate shades but just couldn't find one in my price range.
2. no sippy cup holder for the kids
So overall, for my needs, this stroller does the job. For me, I wanted a jogger stroller with a large basket underneath and adequate shade cover. I had to compromise with the shade cover but was able to remedy that problem.
Hope this helps anyone researching double jogger strollers!
:)

Great stroller if it fit through doors... Great outdoor stroller, bad indoor stroller, March 16, 2009
My kids love the ride, very smooth and I love the locking swivil wheel for jogging or for romping around in unpaved areas like trails, or the park, or dirt bike tracks. Never has toppled over, or tried tipping, so it's balanced nicely. The visor is nice to keep the rain off, sucks for keeping the sun out of their eyes. I purchased a rain/wind shield so my kids don't get cold or wet, fits snug and does it's job.
Compacts nicely and I love the removable rear wheels to fit into snug places like the back of my 91' honda civic.
Overall I like this stroller, I just wish it fit through regular doors. I've been embarressed a few times because I can't use it as a normal stroller as well as an outdoor stroller. I go to walk into a store with it, and if they don't have the double doors, then I can't fit it inside and have to turn around. (Sucks!)
I wish it had a hand brake and a wrist lead so if it gets away while going down hill it won't go far. Also the roll bar in front would have been nicer if it had cup holders or tray for kids to snack while out and about.
I love this stroller for all my outdoor rugged uses. I hate it for shopping or indoor uses.

Very Happy, March 22, 2009
This review is from: InStep Suburban Safari Double Jogging Stroller (Sports)
I think the product's name says is all... "Suburban Sufari". This is a stroller meant for suburan families who like the outdoors, but aren't runners. But if you're like me and like to take long walks w/ your kids, sometimes on trails and rougher terrain, this is an awesome stroller. My kids are 2 and half and 15 months, they fit great and love the new stroller. There's a big basket underneath and ride is really smooth. Definitley a great buy for the price!

Great Stroller for the Money, May 1, 2009
We bought the Suburban Safari 2 (with the 12 inch rear wheels) after a great deal of deliberation, for use as a walking stroller for around town and in the woods, rather than as a jogger. We wanted the bigger rear wheels, but the specs on some of the outside sites suggested that there might be more room in the seats of this one for older children, as compared to the original Safari.
Here's the breakdown of what we do/don't like:
Pros
-Easy assembly.
-The stroller handles really well & turns SO easily (after the Graco DuoGlider this is a dream). The swivel wheel is a must have for walking.
-My 15 month old and 3.5 year old (who is 40 inches tall)are both very comfortable and happy in this stroller. My three year old's head just barely reaches the shade, and her feet just reach the footrest.
-The seats sit all the way up, unlike so many other joggers that do a forced recline (ie. the Baby Trend). This is a huge pro for anyone with older children who would balk at the idea of reclining for a long ride.
-The blue/gray color is more attractive and of a more neutral palette than it appears online.
-The storage area on this stroller appears to be larger than on the original Safari.
-The mosquito netting (though I wish it were cut a bit more generously) is a nice bonus.
Cons:
-The biggest unexpected con so far is the shape of the handlebar. With any double stroller you have weight issues (ie. pushing 90 lbs. of stroller plus babies uphill). Like the DuoGlider before it, the Safari 2 doesn't have what I would call and ergonomically designed handlebar. So after lots of uphill, my wrists tend to hurt a bit from the lousy angle. Its saving grace is how easy it is to push despite the weight, and the fact that our walks aren't all uphill.
-The obvious sunshade issue, and the fact that the Kiddopotamus shade is a sub-par solution.
-I wish the Safari 2 had the larger rear wheels, like the original, while maintaining capacity for a taller child.
All told, this is a wonderful stroller for the price. Anyone who's tried other "inexpensive" double strollers knows just how difficult it is to find one that handles well, and allows walks to be a pleasurable experience for mom and babies. I'd absolutely recommend this stroller to anyone who's looking for a stroller for two.

Best double jogger for the money, May 14, 2009
This review is from: InStep Suburban Safari Double Jogging Stroller (Sports)
We took this stroller to disney bc we figured my 4 year old wouldn't be able to walk all day. He and my 2 year old fit in the stroller perfectly, eventhough my 4 year old is really tall and weighs about 50lbs. We didn't have a major issue with the sun shade not helping much-it seemed to be ok if the seats were slightly reclined. The basket at the bottom was huge and held a lot of things. It was super easy to navigate through the crowds and we only had a couple of times where it didn't fit through doorways. The only small issue is that for some reason towards the end of the vacation, if I pushed the stroller without either child in it, the front wheel started to shake and wobble. As soon as you put weight into the stroller (bags or children), it stopped shaking. There was no danger to my kids though. Other than that, it is really worth the money and saved our lives on the vacation!!!

Great for infants and toddlers!, July 30, 2009
This review is from: InStep Suburban Safari Double Jogging Stroller (Sports)
I have a 5 month old and a 2.5 year old and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new stroller! I've had it for about three weeks now and have used it almost daily. Definately accomodates children of different sizes and thankfully has high enough seats that my 2.5 year old can no longer lean forward and drag her fingers on the pavement as she did in my double umbrella stroller. :) Light weight for a double jogger (much lighter than the tandum duo strollers I looked at) and rides very smooth. Great option to lock the wheel for jogging and swivel for casual/mall use. AND I love that it is thin enough to actually make it through most single doors! Even at home, I was able to assemble it inside and wheel it out the standard sized door. Great storage by the handle and underneath. Only wish that when the canopy is open, I could still see what my kids are doing.

Great for price, December 16, 2008
This review is from: InStep Suburban Safari Double Jogging Stroller (Sports)
I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old and this product definitely helps out on my walks. I read many reviews saying that if your child is tall this isn't a good product because their head will hit the roof of the stroller and their legs will hang over the foot rest. But I decided to buy it anyways since I needed one. My daughter is 36 inches and she fits in this stroller just fine, sitting up or laying down her head doesn't reach the top and her feet just barely touch the foot rest.
The only thing that bothers me is sometimes when you're staying in the same spot for a long period and then you go to move again sometimes the wheels for some reason don't want to maneuver at the same time. But after a second it's back up and running.
For the price of this product it's great, it serves it's purpose beautifully.

Great stroller; even survived a long Disney trip!, July 23, 2009
We bought this stroller when our children were 2 and 3. The price was reasonable, especially compared to outrageously-priced strollers like the bob. It was easy to put together (my husband didn't even have to help!) We typically use it for walks around the neighborhood and trips to the mall or zoo. However, a few months ago we took it along on a 10 day trip to Disney World and a Disney cruise. Despite all the travel (including through airports and in an airplane) and long hours of use, it held up amazingly well. It still looks great and is in near-perfect condition. I think it is a very sturdy stroller. My son, who is now 5 and daughter, who is now 3, can still fit in it. It can be pushed easily, and turns great. Yes, it is sometimes hard to get through doorways, but with a little practice, you learn how to position it and make it work. I have owned two previous double strollers that I was not happy with. I can not say anything bad about this one. For the money, it is a great deal.

Perfect Stroller-Perfect Price, May 30, 2009
We read every review possible at Amazon and decided on this stroller. One, because we didn't want to break the bank on a double stroller and two, because of the good reviews.
The stroller was extremely easy to put together-less than 5 minutes easy.
The stroller rides smoothly and the kids seem to relax in the chairs.
They like that the seats are upright and they can see out, they also love the bar in front of them where they can hold on tight.
For the money, this is a great find. You can certainly get more bells and whistles, but we use this stroller daily for fast walks and errands and I haven't felt a need for anything more.

Great Stroller!, March 21, 2009
This review is from: InStep Suburban Safari Double Jogging Stroller (Sports)
I bought this stoller for my twin girls. I received this stroller and it took about 10 minutes to put together. Very easy to do! The stroller is very sturdy, roomy(my almost 4-year old fits in it) and pushes wonderfully! Like other people, my only complaint at this time is that the sunshade is very small. Would have paid a little more money to have a better sunshade. Can't wait to use it this spring and summer!
